The 4th of July is just around the corner! You remember my other post about my thrifting adventures? This is my other find! I’m obsessed with navy and white stripes so when I found this $13 dress the other day, I knew I had to get it! Pairing a dress like this with some white Converse and a few hints of red will get you the perfect 4th of July outfit.
I got the flag dog tag a few years ago, so it is sold out. Here are a few similar necklaces: 1 & 2
You’ll find out later how obsessed I am with my white Converse slip-ons. This is my third pair in 2 years. I literally wear them everyday and I’m a firm believer they go with everything. I really need to get a new pair because these are super dirty and have holes in them (oops).
Adding a bright colored bow is not only super cute and cheap, but also gives off an “old-time/all-american” feel. This is from my elementary school years when I was a cheerleader and I have no idea how I still have it.
Still no face pictures but the swelling is going down a lot! I also recommend some red lipstick to fully complete this outfit. For all you know, I am wearing red lipstick… you just can’t see.
Wearing a bralette with this dress is not only really comfortable, but also adds more texture and business to a simple outfit. I much prefer bralettes over bras these days and this American Eagle bralette is on sale!
Over the 4th of July weekend I will be traveling to my aunt and uncle’s house in West Virginia! There is always a neighborhood dessert party, followed by fireworks on the first Saturday of July and I am really hopeful I’ll be able to eat some of the food (boo a liquid diet). But even if I can’t eat, I’ll still be serving looks in this outfit. (I’m literally laughing at my own joke haahahhahahaha).
Since the dress is from a thrift store, it’s out of stock now but I did include some similar dresses you can get just in time for the 4th!
Karen Scott Dress // Alternative Skipper Dress // Striped Lace Up Dress
Hope you have a happy 4th of July!
