Happy Friday everyone! I am so excited to show off this outfit. I just bought these gingham checkered pants from the Loft Outlet when I was on vacation in Delaware. I have already gotten so many compliments on them, especially when I wore them to work. Plus, they’re high-waisted and that is my favorite style! These are ankle pants on me and I don’t know if that is on purpose or if it is because I’m tall. I thought adding this off-the-shoulder top added a little extra something to the outfit, while the black flats were a simple touch. I’m not sure if I would wear this shirt to work, but I think this look is very chic and modest. I love feeling like I stepped back in time when I wear certain looks. With both a Parisian and a 1950s feel, this outfit is very much a part of my quintessential style.
I wanted to point out how effortless it is to smile now. I’m really cheesing in most of these pictures which I don’t normally do. When I got the braces on in preparation for my surgery, I never wanted to smile with teeth because my underbite was so outrageous. I always used to soft smile. Now that my jaws are where they are supposed to be, I can’t stop smiling as big as I can and that is a wonderful feeling. (Excuse the rubberband in my mouth). It’s so hard to believe that my surgery was 10 weeks ago today. I like to think that I don’t show any signs of my surgery anymore, especially in these pictures. This is my face now; how cool is that?!
I haven’t done this in most of my blog posts, but I’m wearing a full face of make-up in these pictures. I will include the products I use in another post in the near future! Just know I love a bold, red lip and I think it really pulls this outfit together. The top is originally from Lulu’s! I just bought these flats from from Payless because I needed new work shoes. They are super comfortable and that is pretty much the only reason I got them. Below I included some similar choses to what I’m wearing.
Shoutout to my friend, Meera, for taking these pictures! Love you lots Meerkat!
