I’m currently sitting in the Birmingham airport, reminiscing about how unbelievable this weekend was. I got to sit in the student section of Bryant-Denny Stadium and cheer on the Crimson Tide for the first time ever. I don’t think I’ll ever get that opportunity again, so I really tried to soak it in. They played/destroyed Ole Miss (66-3). The entire atmosphere of Tuscaloosa is crazy the day of a game and the energy of the stadium is mind-blowing. If you ever get the chance to upgrade your tickets at an Alabama game, DO IT! All of the students get a little pom-pom and sing along to the fight song and “Sweet Home Alabama”. Everyone dresses for the occasion, so I’m still seeing red, but I also have a lot of new outfit ideas. Here are some pictures Kalen, Melissa and I took of our game day outfits while we sold parking at Kalen’s house (she lives like 3 blocks from the stadium). We all spent hours cutting up shirts and swapping clothes trying to find a perfect game day outfit. I was pretty hype about mine, almost as hype as I was to be there for the game. I haven’t mastered the fight song yet, but hopefully by next time I’ll have it down.
I’m not going to include an outfit widget for this post because, in all honestly, there is no precise link I can give for any specific item. The romper Kalen is wearing is the same one I wore in this blog post, as well as the skirt I’m wearing. I’m really hoping this post just gives some outfit inspiration for anyone going to a big college game soon. Melissa is a saint and helped me cut up this old Bama t-shirt that I got the first time I visited Kalen. It was also Melissa’s idea to cut up our shirts like this and I’m so glad we did, because I got a bunch of compliments on it. We also got the “Beat Ole Miss” buttons and face tattoos which I totally recommend for anyone with school spirit. My college does not go this hard for football, so I’m so happy I could experience a southern college football game at least once in my life. Roll Tide Roll.
