Maybe I got mine, but you’ll all get yours…
If you don’t already know, I am whole-heartedly obsessed with Taylor Swift. I’ve been a diehard Swiftie since I was 14 and “Fearless” was released. I’ve gone to three of her concerts and absolutely lose my mind when she releases a new album. (Fun fact: She followed me on Tumblr 3 years ago!) So when she finally came off of hiatus and dropped “Look What You Made Me Do” I totally geeked. When I saw the music video, I thought it was totally genius and a visionary masterpiece. The scene where Taylor is robbing a streaming corporation particularly stuck out to me because of the lines “The world moves on another day another drama (drama)/ but not for me, not for me all I think about is karma/ And then the world moves on but one things for sure/ Maybe I got mine, but you’ll all get yours.” YASSS PETTY TAYLOR AHHHH! I thought the Louboutin over-the-knee boots and the sequin Gucci hoodie in that part of the video were totally extra and such a unique pairing. The actual outfit she wore is worth like $5,000, but I did think I could dress up like this without completely breaking the bank. So here is how I created my Taylor Swift look for Halloween on a budget.
Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored by any of the products I mention. I am just sharing what I used for my costume. All opinions are my own.
I literally had so much fun wearing this outfit and being Taylor Swift. A bunch of my friends were hyping me up, saying that “TSwift is at this party!” and asked me for pics and autographs. I just kept saying “I love my fans” because I know she truly does and that is like the most Taylor Swift thing ever. This is one of the most fun Halloween costumes I’ve ever worn (and yes I had shorts on underneath the sweatshirt).
Here are the links to what she actually wore in the video for anyone reading this who happens to be a millionaire.

It took me a few hours to iron on the patches and hot glue the sequins on the bottom to spell out “Blind for Love”. A bunch of the sequins fell off the sweatshirt after a night out, so sewing those on may be better. I used my Amazon Prime account for the sweatshirt, patches and sequins. What a lifesaver! You want to get the sweatshirt super large so it covers your butt. I also ordered the sequin tiger patch from Etsy, but it didn’t arrive in time. I ended up making my own patch out of tiger print felt and sparkly paper. This is a great alternative for anyone who doesn’t have time to order the actual patch or doesn’t have a lot of money to spend for Halloween. I also ordered my boots from ShoeDazzle because they give you 75% off your first purchase when you sign up for their VIP Membership (just be wary of the added costs that come from signing up with them). I also got them wide calve, because well… I have wide calves. THEY WERE SO FLATTERING ON MY LEGS LIKE WOW! I am dying to get more over-the-knee boots and wear these again. But let me tell you that the dogs were barking by the end of the night. MY FEET WERE KILLING ME! It was totally worth it, but try to break in your boots before wearing them all night!
