Yesterday Allison and I took a spontaneous trip to a local vineyard 30 minutes from our house called Layton’s Chance. This is such a hidden treasure on the Eastern Shore. The weather was so perfect and autumn-y. We did a wine tasting (which only ended up being around $10) and then got a tour of the grounds. I’ve always wanted to take a vineyard tour, because I never really understood everything that goes into making wine. If you live near Vienna, MD, I would highly recommend checking out this adorable vineyard. Their wine is delicious and everything is locally grown. They have a lot of fun events coming up, so I definitely plan on going back.
I usually never do my hair up in any way, but I’ve been obsessed with Amber Fillerup and her blog for years now. My hair hasn’t been this long since high school, so I’ve been trying some different styles based on Amber’s blog (which you can check out here!) I hadn’t washed my hair in like a day (is that gross to admit?) so I thought I would try two simple braids just to pull my hair back. One of my goals on this blog is try new things, especially with my hair because it is so long and I don’t want to have the same hairstyle in every picture. I think it turned out pretty well for someone who has no idea what they’re doing. *pats self on the back*
I have been looking for a burgundy sweater since September. I am so glad that I found this one from American Eagle because its the exactly color I was looking for and is also super light weight, which is great for fall. I got size large so it would be long enough to cover my butt. I am also happy I got to wear these grey over-the-knee boots that I got from Charlotte Russe last year. I have barely wore them and often find myself wishing I got them in black. But lately I’ve been really trying to wear them more often because I really like the over-the-knee look. My earrings and back are from Kate Spade and my leggings are from Victoria’s Secret. I linked the exact same sweater I’m wearing and some similar boots, bralettes and bags below!
