Not sure how professional this post is, but the other day I had my club formal and I got to bring 5 of my closest friends as my dates. (Who needs one male date when you can have a girls night with your besties?!) The formal was small, but it was so incredibly fun. We started off the night at my friend Lexi’s apartment where she set up this adorable backdrop for pictures. I was literally geeking at the exposed brick and string lights. I also bought this new dress from Lulu’s specifically for this formal during Cyber Monday, so it was a steal! This isn’t really a traditional blogger post, but I never said I was good at blogging… or traditional in anyway. I just want to highlight how fierce and drop dead gorgeous my friends looked as my dates, so here ya go.

So this dress was extremely flattering, comfortable and felt pretty modest even with the sheer top and corset. The floral pattern was velvet, which I love this season. Plus, I have always loved black mesh especially on dresses. It had a keyhole back, but I forgot to get pics of that (wamp wamp). I love ordering dresses from Lulu’s because they are usually very affordable and are great quality. I can always find whatever kind of dress I’m looking for on their website, so if you have an event coming up, go check out their site!
I call these strappy heels my “birthday shoes” because usually they only come out for my birthday. I don’t normally have formals or events for heels, so even though the dogs were barking by the end of the night, these were great to pair with my dress. I linked my exact dress and heels below. This entire outfit is less than $100 and could definitely be worn for New Year’s Eve!
