If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went on a post-graduation, pre-working-for-the-rest-of-my-life cruise with my best friend Taylor. You know Taylor from this blog. This was the first time either of us have been on a cruise and it was such a cool adventure! We were on the Carnival Conquest. We got mega sunburned on the first day, took so many naps, got a bunch of drinks and had the absolute best food the entire time. We spent 5 days on the ship total and went to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. I’m so happy I was able to do this right before I started my full time job and work up a nice tan. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but it was definitely an adventure! Here is a giant photo diary of my trip!

Day 3: Ocho Rio, Jamaica
Taylor and I did this excursion where we went tubing, zip-lining and cliff jumping in Blue Hole! We didn’t take any pictures doing all of this because our phones and my camera weren’t water-proof but I would absolutely recommend it!
It was during this part of the trip when things got a little crazy. Right before we went zip-lining, Taylor and I got called over by the manager of Chukka. She told us that someone had called my dad and said that we had been injured and taken! The captains on the ship were absolutely frantic to find us and we had to send them pictures of us smiling and show our passports. They let me call my dad on someone’s cell phone and he told me that basically a random number called him at work and a girl was screaming “DADDY DADDY I’M HURT HELP ME”. Then some dude got on the line and said “Hey man if you ever want to see your daughter again I need you to wire me $10,000”. He started cussing my dad out and then hung up. My dad figured it was a scam, but what kind of parent doesn’t check up on this?? So he called Carnival and it took them 3 hours to find Taylor and I to confirm we were safe. My dad said it was the longest 3 hours of his life. For the rest of the day Taylor and I had security following us everywhere (which was actually kind of cool) and then we had to meet with the captains of the ship when we got back on the boat. It was honestly so crazy but we were totally safe the entire time. We don’t really know how these scammers got my dad’s information, so let this be a warning from me to be careful what you post and what you do with your information!
Day 4: Grand Cayman
For our Grand Cayman excursion, we went to Stingray City! I loved being in the clear blue salt water and I even kissed and fed a bunch of stingrays! Such a cool experience!
