Last week I went on my first business trip all the way in San Francisco! My company is based in Washington D.C. so it was definitely a bop and a half to get over there, but it was my first time in California. I really only had an afternoon to go exploring and I was all by myself but here are some of the pictures I took while playing tourist.
There is Alcatraz all the way in the distance
it was super foggy and super cold at the Golden Gate Bridge but it was a bit surreal seeing it for the first time
I stopped at Brenda’s French Soul Food for a small post-plane snack
I got the Beignet flight which consisted of original, chocolate, apple and cajun seafood but I could barely eat two because they were so filling

I love the Victorian architecture in San Francisco and how ridiculous the hills are that the city is built on
My hotel room was actually free because the hotel I originally booked a room at was overbooked so they moved me to the hotel down the street totally free of charge.

So overall, my coworker and I had a pretty successful business meeting and I’m really glad I got to go out to California for the first time! In all honesty, I don’t really like traveling by myself because I got really bored and lonely and had to ask strangers to take pictures of me. I wish I could have spent more time in San Francisco because I know there are so many cool things to do, so I’m putting San Fran on my list of places to definitely go back to. I felt like such an adult being out there on my first ever business trip by myself. Can’t wait to go back!
