Oh no! I had to switch up the format of the introductory pictures. Hope that doesn’t phase you too much. Today is Day 4 of “13 Posts of Halloween” and honestly I’m pretty proud of these costumes. Memes and Vines are crucial to today’s social climate and I had to pay tribute in some way. I’m not including shopping links for this blog because most of what you need you can get from a craft store. My mindset with these costumes (especially when I showed my mom) is that you either get it or you don’t.
“This Is Fine”
This is actually just a self portrait because I’m pretty sure we all feel this way sometimes. All you really need for this costume is a brown shirt, brown paper/fabric for ears, eyeliner for nose and freckles, some construction paper for the signs and a marker. I used rulers to hold them up but you can use pencils, pens or just staple them to your shirt. The ears were bobby-pinned on my head but I recommend using a headband if you’re going to be moving around a lot. Oh and I know that the original dog in the meme wears a hat, but darn my fedora is at the cleaners.
“Look At This Graph”
All I’m going to say about this is that I am so sorry for anyone who sees this. (I also used brown face paint, wore a white shirt and made a center part in my hair. Other than that, you just need a frame and a graph). Again, so sorry.
“But That’s None of My Business”
Ahh yes. The original shady meme. I feel this on a spiritual level, which is probably why the expressions came so naturally to me. And no, I didn’t actually dye my hair for this, I used a Lightroom mask. And no, I’m not normally this grey…I just had left over paint from the goatee from the previous picture left on my face, so I tried to fade it out. As a blogger I think its important to be transparent. But anyway, all you really need is a green shirt, green paper/fabric for the Kermit collar and a mug. Dying hair is optional.
