Happy day 5 of ’13 Posts of Halloween’! Today’s post I spent a lot of time on because its all make-up focused. Now I’ll be the first to admit I’m not really make-up savvy. I usually just take queues from what my friends are doing and I definitely don’t know what I’m doing half the time! So I’m really proud I was able to pull off these costumes! I decided to link the pictures I found on Pinterest that gave me inspiration because I want to give credit where credit is due. Hope you find some inspiration from this post in the same way I found inspiration from Pinterest! These costumes are really easy if you have a lot of make-up!
Alien
I originally bought this skirt last year for my 22nd birthday and because I have always wanted to be an alien for Halloween. I put my hair in some fun-buns and a ton of glitter in my hair (thats hard to get out.) I used a lot of green, blue and purple eyeshadow around my eyes, cheekbones and on my lips. Then I used Vasciline to make the glitter stick to my face. Here are some pictures that can give you some inspiration:
Deer
I used a little bit of face paint and a whole lot of eyeshadow for this look. Its really all about the nose and connecting the outline of your nose to your eyebrows. Then you make your nose white with eyeshadow or facepaint. The spots I drew on my temples caused me to break out a little but thats a Kim problem. Here are some more pictures to help you recreate this look:
Medusa
I followed this netting make-up guide I found on Pinterest to try to give the illusion of snake skin. I used green eyeshadow and an avocado bag but you can’t really tell in these pictures. Theres no rhyme or reason to how I put the snakes in my hair. I just did a messy bun and shoved them in there. I used green eyeshadow on my eyes and lips too. For the dress, I used a sheet to make a toga (#totescollege) and a gold ribbon to give myself a waist.

Marionette Doll
I used face paint for the white under my eyes and the black lines. I also put some concealer on the sides of my lips to give a more doll like look. I tied strings to my wrists to make it look like I was a puppet who escaped (if thats a thing) and then I thought the pigtails looked pretty doll-like too. I didn’t really follow just one tutorial/picture for this make-up so here is the link to the Pinterest pictures I looked up:
Bodysuit // Blazer // Fishnets // Tutu // Boots
Wildcat
Here are some pictures I based this eyeshadow on. The picture below turned out blurry so I totally recommend checking out these pictures to get a better idea of what I did. I mainly just used eyeliner and different shades of brown eyeshadow to make the animal spots.
I also put my hair up in a messy top knot. I think the more wild your hair looks, the better.
