Thanksgiving is just 8 days away and that is just enough time for you (yes you) to order a new outfit for Thanksgiving! Whether you’re slumming it in sweats and leggings or are required by your grandparents to wear a dress and tights, here are a bunch of options you can order before Thanksgiving and they should arrive on time! (Even if you don’t plan on ordering anything, I hope you find some inspiration from this post as you plan what you’re going to wear with what you already have in your closet.) Links below!
- Multi-Color Sweater: My go-to for Thanksgiving outfit has always been a big sweater and leggings. These colors in the sweater remind me of Thanksgiving dinner so this sweater is perfect!
- Plaid Scarf: I am so ‘plaid’ that Old Navy has so many colorful options for this scarf! They’re big and soft and hella fall. Through a scarf over any sweater, shirt or dress and you’ll be cozy and stylish.
- V-neck Sweater: You should know by now how much I love this orange color around fall time, so this is yet another classic, Thanksgiving staple that makes you look AND feel good. J.Crew Factory sweaters are also excellent quality.
- Off-the-Shoulder Sweater: If you were trying to show off a little more skin/shoulder over the course of Thanksgiving, then off-the-shoulder is the way to go. I also like the subtle stripes this sweater has!
- Sweater Dress: Ready to hide your Thanksgiving-stuffed bod? A giant sweater dress is the way to go. If you want to dress it up more, I recommend some over-the-knee boots or heels.
- Leopard Booties: Leopard is very ‘in’ this season and can spice-up a very basic Thanksgiving outfit. I would wear a big, neutral sweater with leggings or jeans with these. (These boots are also on sale (!!!) at Macy’s.
- Houndstooth Skirt: I have wanted this skirt for a super long time, especially for Thanksgiving. I would wear a black or white v-neck and some tights with this. I also think the colors of the skirt are perfect for fall and remind me of Nancy Drew.
- Swing Dress: I would pair this light-weight dress with black tights and some booties. BAM, you look super nice and casual, but you don’t have to wear real pants.
- Leggings: If you’re planning on eating so much you give yourself a food baby, then leggings are the way to go (obviously). These Zella leggings are great quality and not at all see-through. They should last many Thanksgivings for many years.
- Plaid Dress: Plaid is very classic Thanksgiving attire so a plaid shirt dress is a great idea if you’re a flannel fan. You can make it as dressy or casual as you want. This is another great outfit that doesn’t require pants.
- Over-the-Knee Boots: I have a grey pair and a black pair (and a red latex pair we’re not going to talk about) and they basically look good with anything. Most of the time you don’t have to shave or wear tights if you wear over-the-knee boots (street smarts).
- Birthday Cake Sweater: I am seriously obsessed with this sweater. I just realized its currently on pre-order and won’t get mailed out until December, but I at least want to inspire you to purchase or wear a similar sweater (like this and this) on Thanksgiving.
- Suede Leggings: A classy version of just normal leggings, that make you look like you’re trying harder than you are. I would wear these some loafers and a big sweater with these.
