Growing up, my family always had a paper advent calendar that hung on our fridge I used to fight with my brothers about who got to open which day. Now that I’m living at home again, I definitely want to get a brand new advent calendar, but recently I learned that there is such a huge variety of advent calendars to pick from! I used to get so excited just over opening a little paper flap and reading a Bible verse of a story I know like the back of my hand. Just imagine how happy I’ll be in December when I get a little present (from myself) every single day. If this doesn’t sound fun, theres something wrong with you. I think advent calendars are a great way to count down to Christmas so here are 12 different advent calendars that I found super interesting!
1. Wine Advent Calendar
My friend Kayla told me about this which kind of inspired the idea for this post. What would be better than a small bottle of wine every day up until Christmas? Hmmm….chocolate. What? What are they selling? Okay but anyway, this is a pretty classic advent calendar. I remember being younger and being jealous of all the kids who got chocolate in their advent calendars. I’ve heard great reviews for this one! If you’re the kind of person who wants to wear a different lipstick shade leading up until Christmas, then this is the advent calendar for you! I have a lot of friends who really love tea so I’m posting this advent calendar while thinking of them. If you have little kids in your life, this would be a really fun treat for them. But I’m also including this advent calendar because I think its unique and a way to relieve stress for those who are young at heart. 10. Popcorn Advent Calendar
Lately at work I’ve had a new love of popcorn. Not totally sure why, but usually around 11:30am I walk over to the kitchen eat some cheddar Skinny Pop. I was actually thinking about that when I stumbled upon this advent calendar, so I definitely wanted to include it in this post. And of course, because I am a firm believer that we need to remember the reason for the season, I included this super cheap Nativity advent calendar that tells the story of Christmas and includes Bible verses. Its a very classic advent calendar that you can also find in your local CVS or Hallmark. I just couldn’t make this post without including this.
