Happy hump day! To help you get through the week, I thought I would share this gift guide for “the fit girl” in your life. I have to admit that a lot of this may be things that a girl who works out a lot already has, but I also think these are good gifts for the girl trying to be super fit in the new year. Hey, we all start somewhere!
Beats Wireless Earbuds: // My friend Allison has been raving about these for years! She lost her first pair and has been pining to get some new ones ever since. I’m not sure exactly how they work yet, but I’m sure not having to worry about your earbuds falling out or getting tangled is a wonderful thing.
Garmin Forerunner// I’ve decided I want to do another half marathon in the spring, so I have been looking for products that can improve my training and experience. I don’t have an AppleWatch or a FitBit, so I was looking at Garmin watches like this Forerunner. I especially love this blue color.
Time Water Bottle// One of the best things you can do for yourself is drink a lot of water. I always forget how much water I drink in a day, so I thought this water bottle was an excellent idea, since you can keep track and it also gives you a small goal to accomplish daily.
Leggings// This may come as a surprise to you, but I love Old Navy leggings. They don’t fall down when I’m working out and are super cheap.
Foam Roller // My friend Kalen raves about this! If you’re just joining a gym or tend to be really sore after a work out, then you should totally get a foam roller. I love the marble pattern in this one!
Brooks running shoes// If you have bad knees like I do, arch support is key to being able to run well and for a long time. Brooks Running Shoes are such high quality running shoes and have a pretty big variety of styles and colors.
Headband// While I can’t really afford LuluLemon right now, I can afford their headbands. If you have short hair like me, or little baby hairs that stick your forehead, an athletic headband is crucial. I like the material these are made of, because they soak up a lot of sweat (gross but true). You can also through them in the wash!
Workout Bag// I know some people don’t bring workout bags to the gym, but personally I like to bring a lot with me when I’m working out (towel, water bottle, change of clothes, extra deodorant…) so a large workout bag like this is perfect to keep everything together and safe.
Sports Bra// This is more of a ‘just because’ item in this gift guide. Who doesn’t need more bras? Who doesn’t want a lot of support (and I do mean a lot) for the girls? Sports bras can be as fun or boring as you want, they just need to lift you when you need it.
Yoga Mat// I do yoga every Monday at work. Its crazy how it has become so important to me, my mind, my body image and my health. My heart and mind are so much more at peace since I’ve started doing yoga, and all you really need to start is a mat.
Small Exercise Ball // So one of my coworkers and I do an inner thigh workout with these sorts of balls everyday at work. We call it our ‘grapefruit’ exercises because it helps work your inner thighs (and get rid of the grapefruits). If you have trouble finding time to workout everyday, I recommend getting one of these little balls and pulsing them in between your thighs for 1 minute everyday when you’re doing dishes or watching TV or whatever. I already feel and see a difference from when I started!
