I know it’s literally only a few days before February starts, but there is still time to plan and get ready for No Fun Feb! Here are a few tips I have to help you start the month off right.
- Make a grocery list and a budget: The key to a successful NFF is planning ahead. Meal prep is definitely going to be your friend this month but you also don’t want to break the bank buying all this healthy food right off the bat. Plan out your meals at least one week in advance and write down everything you need (after going through your fridge and pantry beforehand). Writing down a grocery list really helps me stick to a budget and keeps me accountable so I don’t stray from what I need. This also helps me find sales and coupons. And of course, (rule of thumb) don’t go grocery shopping while you’re hungry!
- Plan and sign up for work out classes: Have a gym or workout you’re dying to try? Sign up for it now! Most times, your first class is a free class (for Orange Theory it is!) and you may find a new work out you love. Signing up and paying for classes and gym membership beforehand will also keep you accountable. (and buying it now in January means you won’t spend the money on it in February 😉
- Set aside money for those events you don’t want to miss: Birthday party? Anniversary? Valentine’s Day date? Set aside that money now so you don’t overspend during the actually thing. This also goes for buying presents and buy food for those events. Literally write down how much you want to spend for whatever that special thing is and even set it aside in an envelop or buy what you need for it before February starts.
I’m back from my adventures in China, so today is going to be spent planning out the first week or two of NFF. I’m also excited to try Hungry Harvest for the first time, and buy a new food processor (which I really need). Make sure you’re following me on Instagram for updates on meal prep and grocery shopping this week!
Hope these tips help! We’re only three days out from February!
