I can’t remember the last time I made a list of things I wanted for my birthday. Maybe I was…15? At a certain point in my life I was just receiving money, then alcohol and now I just value getting to spend time with my friends and family. It’s hard figuring out what I want for my birthday because I do so much shopping for myself and I unfortunately have expensive taste. But that won’t stop me from listing out a few things I think would be super fun gifts. I seriously doubt I’ll be getting any of this stuff, but I like making lists and if anyone is thinking about giving me anything at all, consider the final thing on my list. Scroll down!
New computer: I’m finally doing it! This is more of a gift to myself that I have been putting off for over a year now. (Again, this is a gift to myself and I am not expecting anyone to actually purchase a laptop for me…let’s use common sense here). My current computer is so slow and old and has no memory or storage left. Because I use my laptop everyday for blogging, I am treating myself and finally buying a new laptop. Let’s do it!
This Outrageous Coat: Do I need this? No. Will this go with the majority of my closet? No. Is it the type of coat my friends would expect me to own? Absolutely. So do I want it? Yes, yes I do. (Also it’s big and soft and that’s all I will want to wear when it’s cold so yes I want it).
This Ode to Princess Diana: I found this sweatshirt on Etsy and not that I need anymore sweatshirts, but this is just so boujee and extra. If you don’t know the nod to Princess Di, check out this link. Here is a link to what I think is the actual sweater but I’m not sure how trustworthy this site is…
Candles (and a new lighter because I can’t find mine): It’s almost fall and I like to burn things candles because fire they smell good. I love how cheeky Evil Queen candles are and I usually do a lot of serious damage in a Yankee Candle store.
MD necklace: I originally saw this necklace first on “Kelly In The City” and since it’s been on my ‘splurge’ list. But it’s not expensive! Sometimes I feel like it’s redundant to have a lot of MD stuff when I still live here, but maybe I’m just prepping for when I move out…?
Libra Necklace: Can you tell I have a thing for gold necklaces these days? I just downloaded the app Co-Star and I’ve been checking my horoscope everyday. I’m not always 100% sure it’s all related but it’s always fun to check out. So maybe I’m an astronomy person now?
Key chains: I really want to liven up my car keys since I use them everyday, so here are a few trinkets:
Coffee Tumbler: One of my favorite gifts ever is from my best friend Kayla and it was a Taylor Swift ‘Starbucks Lovers’ reusable coffee cup. I’ve been on a real Starbucks kick recently and while I love the tumblers I have I can always use more (because I go so often).
Newseum and Spy Museum Tickets: The Newseum is my favorite museum and I am so sad it is closing at the end of the year! I definitely need to go again ASAP, so who wants to make it a day trip with me? Apparently it will open again in a new building but we don’t know when that will be. I have also heard so many amazing things about the Spy Museum so that’s definitely high on my list of fun things to do.
The last thing on my list is a little more personal. Below are a few organizations I care about that I would be really happy if you donated to. I really don’t need anything for my birthday so if you’re able and willing, please consider donating to any of these organizations in my name:
- Planned Parenthood
- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (September is Suicide Prevention Month!)
- RAINN
- Hurricane Relief in the Bahamas
Honestly I really just want some cake and to hang out with my twin brother on our birthday but it would be super cool if you wanted to make some donations to the causes I care about. Also, if you have a birthday coming up or just have money to throw away, I hope you liked the random things at the beginning of my list.
Thanks for reading! xx
