GO CAPS! Y’all…I’m such a big hockey guy now. Kayla’s bachelorette party was so fun! We went to a Washington Capitals hockey game which is one of Kayla’s favorite things to do. Her ‘brideside’ and I bought the tickets and all pitched in for this custom white jersey for her to wear (scroll down to see how we customized it). I also surprised everyone with something Kayla mentioned to me months ago and thought I forgot (I did not). Here is a little photo recap of the game and a fun bachelorette idea if you want to think outside the box!
So I surprised everyone with fanny packs that have Kayla’s hashtag on them! #newburchintown
I stocked everyone’s with a mini, some ibuprofen, chapstick, breath mints, chocolate and hand warmers (because hockey arenas get chilly).
We went to Bar Louis in DC right by the arena. Since we had 7 people, we were worried we wouldn’t get a table anywhere, but they were super accommodating and we got to sit immediately.
Caps played the Las Vegas Knights and won!!! I was really into the game…I didn’t really take any pictures during. But I must say, the graphics were super cool, there were a bunch of fun chants and the Caps scored A LOT so we were constantly standing and cheering. Great first hockey game, I hope I get to go to another soon!
Here’s Kayla’s brideside!
Here’s Kayla’s jersey we got her! We added Tommy’s last name and the date of her wedding (also the date of her birthday) to make it super personalized. We also got her a white beanie to act as a “veil” since it is her bachelorette party (but Kayla would hate a veil in public). Unfortunately it fell in some soda after the first goal of the game. Oops!
And then after the game, everyone was slumped. This is everyone passed out at Tim’s place in Silver Spring. (I was more awake because I was driving everyone back to Kayla’s). What a happy, content bunch. Hope you liked this little recap of a super fun bachelorette party. Only a few more weeks until Kayla’s wedding!
