I’m so excited to share this gift guide! I feel like it’s very overarching and you can find gifts for anyone on your list in this guide. Not to mention, I think it’s so important to give back to the community and important causes especially during the holidays. Honestly I found so many great items while researching for this gift guide, that I could probably double this list. Everything in this guide is something that I think would make a great gift to someone, but also gives back to some worthy charities.
Feed Harriet Tote: How trendy is this bag? These bags are so in right now and this Harriet Tote bag provides 100 school meals to children in need.
The Giving Keys: Each product purchased from the Giving Keys supports job creation for people transitioning out of homelessness.
The Little Market Candle: All coconut and soy wax candles are made by refugees at Prosperity Candle and 100% of proceeds go right into their pockets.
100% Human T-Shirt: I love the message on this shirt and I also love that $5 of every purchase goes to the ACLU.
Sackcloth & Ashes Blanket: This blanket looks so soft and warm. Sackcloth & Ashes was founded with one goal: to provide blankets to homeless shelters. With the purchase of this throw blanket, another will be donated to a shelter in need.
Love Your Melon: 50% of Love Your Melon’s profits is donated to a variety of nonprofits that fund programs for children and families battling cancer.
Bombas Socks: For every pair purchased, one pair of socks are donated — and the proceeds from any red, blue, or white socks go directly to homeless veterans.
Succulent Gift Box: For your friends that are plant parents, give them a little addition to the fam with this succulent trio box. Lula’s Garden uses the profit from each purchase to provide clean water to communities around the world.
Protect The Earth Mug: Mugs are great gifts for the holidays! These mugs support the Open Space Institute, a nonprofit that works to protect land, clean water, and communities.
Threadbare Ring: This delicate, dainty ring is a great and feminine accessory. Catbird works with a range of organizations such as ACLU, Planned Parenthood and Food Bank for New York City.
Thistle Farms Jet Set Toiletries: Perfect for the jet setter in your life, the proceeds from this set of toiletries help female survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction by providing safe housing, economic independence, and a strong support system.
Swell Bottle: Did you know that Swell helps provide clean water to the world’s most vulnerable communities? Since 2015, the eco-friendly water bottle brand has been a proud partner of UNICEF USA.
Warby Parker Glasses: These stylish specks give the gift of sight to those in need. Buy a pair, give a pair to one of WP’s nonprofit partners. The brand also physically trains leading men and women of impoverished communities abroad to give basic eye exams and spread awareness of eye care.
Lotto Love Scratch Offs: Lotto Love works with a number of charities like WaterIsLife and Rise Against Hunger. Put a charitable spin on the good old scratch-and-win ticket. This would make a great stocking stuffer!
Grounds and Hounds Coffee: Fair trade and 100% certified. This coffee three pack also benefits animal rescue partners around the country.
Diamond Bar Necklace: A beautiful necklace that gives back and can be personalized! AWE jewelry was founded by a three-time cancer survivor who donates 20% of sales to the brand’s national charity partners — Cancer Care, Nami, The Trevor Project, and RAINN.
Fire Department Coffee: Made by actual firefighters and sourced from environmentally-friendly farms in Central and South America, Fire Dept. Coffee is made with both people and planet in mind.
OneHope Wine: If you’re going to pop some bubbly, it might as well be for a good cause! OneHope’s mission is to end child hunger, and your purchase will go toward providing healthy meals for kids.
Benevolent Brownies: Greyston Bakery, the company behind these sweets follows an “open hiring” system, so that jobs can be filled with people who normally face barriers to employment like refugees and former prisoners included.
Love41 Crossbody: Buy one of their stunning, full-grain leather bags, like this luxury toiletry bag that features antique brass hardware, and support the work of Africa New Life Ministries, an organization that aids in transforming the lives of those affected by the Rwandan genocide.
Charity Pot: I am such a huge fan of LUSH products. With every purchase of Charity Pot, LUSH donates 100% of the price (minus the taxes) to small grassroots organizations working in the areas of human rights, animal protection and environmental justice.
Since you’ve made it this far through the gift guide, I want to mention how important it is that when you support a brand, you should do some research on what charities and organizations that brand supports as well. Recently in the news, Chick-fil-a announced they would stop donating to anti-LGBTQ organizations which I think is great! So with that in mind, I challenge everyone reading this to give some thought to what brands you spend your money on, in case those same companies are donating money or supporting causes you’re against. I think as consumers we hold a lot of power and should really think about who we’re giving our money to.
Thanks for reading! xx
