My intention with this gift guide is that you would give any one of these things to a friend who just moved out, but already has all the essentials to live on their own. After all, you wouldn’t want to give a friend some Lemon Pledge, a shelf or Clorox, and call that a present, right? Even if they need that, be a better friend this season. This gift guide is either a hit or a miss because I have yet to move out from my parents house. But lately I have been day-dreaming about having my own apartment. That’s not good considering I am not moving out any time soon. But anyway, a bunch of my friends have recently moved out, so I think this gift guide is super fun! Hope you like it!
- Weekender Bag: Ladies it is time to trade in those Vera Bradley weekender bags we got in high school and college for something a little more durable and subtle. I’m all for the neutral tones in this bag.
- Mirror: So this may be a weird thing to include on a GG, but it’s only $40! And it’s so pretty and classy!
- Hair Care Holder: For the friend who is always curling or straightening her hair, this is a no-brainer gift.
- Wine Rack: I love how chic this is and the fact that its gold!
- Robe: I’m a firm believer everyone needs a super plush robe to get through the cold mornings of winter, so if you or a friend does not have one already, here you go.
- Wooden Serving Platter: So charcuterie is a huge fad right now, but I’ve always loved a good cheese board. I don’t think this is the sort of thing you would buy yourself, so it totally needs to come from you.
- Candle: Anthropologie candles are like peak adulting candles.
- Nonstick pan: We got my dad this pan a few years ago and now I use it every morning. This is definitely a nice sentiment for our friends who need motivation to cook for themselves more.
- Milk and Cookies Shot Glasses: A need? No? A fun thing to do with your friend this December? Absolutely.
- Shower Beer Holder: I included this in my Guy Gift Guide last year, and honestly? It speaks for itself.
- Welcome Mat: Personally, I like to get really cheeky with my doormats, but this one from Target is cute too!
- Coffee Maker: A super simple, natural way to make coffee!
- Smartphone Valet and Plant: I’m a big fan of how chic this is but also the plant on the side is mega cute.
- Light Box: This is another gift that speaks for itself (but this time because you literally write on it…lol).
- Cake Stand: This is one of those things that you don’t realize you need…until the moment you need it. Plus it’s super pretty!
Did I forget anything? Have you actually moved out and you can tell me what you would actually want for Christmas? Comment below!
