Happy 2020 everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve. My friends and I threw a Gatsby themed house party and it was so fun! This is the third 1920s themed party I’ve thrown in my life and I now feel obligated to continue the trend until 2030. I love dressing up in 1920s flapper attire and I love it when my friends dress up with me (usually I’m on my own with the whole ‘playing dress-up’ thing). I rented this gorgeous sequin dress from Rent the Runway and brought out my old Daisy headband from my Gatsby party a few years ago. More pics and some similar dresses are below!
I was hoping this dress would fit a little looser to give it more of a 1920s feel (because dresses back then were purposefully drop waist and baggy to hide curves) but overall it was still a good fit. I bought this headband a few years ago and I love finding reasons to wear it again. Would it be weird to dress like this all decade?
