Week two of me sharing some little things make me happy This week has felt much more relaxing, but Maryland is starting to reopen and that just makes me nervous right now. But this blog post is about joys, not anxieties. So here are five little things that brought me joy this week.
Hamilton will be streamed on Disney+ in July! I cannot wait! I’ve seen Hamilton twice (once in DC and once in Baltimore) and I have the entire soundtrack memories. I didn’t know it was already becoming a movie but they are releasing it 15 months early. And it’s the original cast. I am ecstatic. Here’s an article explaining more.
S’mores Crunchwrap: I’m trying to get a little more creative with the food I’m making in the house. I have a serious sweet tooth and constantly need to find new ways to feed it. I got the random idea to try to combine a s’more with a tortilla and some cinnamon sugar, and it was delicious. I need to work on my tortilla wrapping skills, but I would highly recommend.
My Sephora order arrived: So a few weeks ago I bought a few new things from Sephora and I finally got everything! For a second there I forgot what I ordered, but you can find everything I got here. I’ve especially been loving the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.
24 Hours to Hell and Back: This week, an episode of Gordon Ramsey’s “24 Hours to Hell and Back” aired about a city very close to my hometown. Old Ellicott City was hit with 2 devastating floods back in 2016 and 2018. I have loved going to Old Ellicott City since high school and have actually taken a ton of my blog photos there (so odds are you’re familiar with this town too). Gordon helped transform 3 restaurants in Old Ellicott in this episode and my mom and I cried the whole time watching it. Not only was it super cool to see a place I go to all the time on TV, it is a super inspiring and moving story. Here’s a link about the episode.
Learned how to play Family Feud on Zoom: I had a Zoom Happy Hour with my coworkers this week and it was fun! We played Family Feud using the whiteboard feature on Zoom, which I didn’t even know was possible. If you’re looking for new ways to spice up your family or friend Zoom calls this week, consider playing Family Feud.
