I have been thrifting so much in the past few months! I find such great deals on Poshmark and ThredUp and even ventured out of my house a few times to find some great deals at the local secondhand store near my house- 2nd Avenue. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen me wear a lot of these but I just wanted to highlight some things I got and why I got them.
This was a Calvin Klein top that has been my go-to for working from home this summer. I love pairing it with my light-wash mom jeans and there is a bit detail at the bottom and shoulders. The peplum is very flattering and the deep v looks great with a bralette. I especially love this because it was only $7.
Thrifting basics like black and white t-shirts are the best. I got this so cheap from ThreadUp ($8) and it’s so soft. I wore this the other day at an outside dinner date with a friend with high waisted jeans. I like that it has a higher neckline than other t-shirts I own because I think necklaces look better on shirts like that.
I bought this thin gold button down because it gave me a vintage vibe? It’s a little shiny and very light so I wore it mainly in the summer, but the color is good for fall too. This top is Karen Scott and was a great find for the wallet too at only $11.
Anyone see Basic Instinct? This is another one of those great basics I found while thrifting. I saw a similar shirt on Free People but didn’t like that price tag that much, so I went hunting on ThreadUp and found this. Only $8! This is great for WFH and layering.
If I was able to go out with my friends over the summer, I would have worn this black one-shoulder crop top. It is originally from Forever 21 but I got it from ThredUp so it was a great price (only $10). I’ve worn it mainly with jeans, but I think a pattern skirt would go great with this too.
Get ready- I’m about to share a few sweater tanks. They have been one of my favorite things lately, especially since I love to wear them with mom jeans or sweatpants. I got this one from ThredUp and I love the scalloped detail all the way down. It’s the brand Moon & Madison and was only $11.
I think this is the H&M brand but I got it from ThredUp. It reminds me of the top Monica Gellar wears in the first season of FRIENDS. It’s very comfortable and super flattering. I didn’t originally want to wear a bra with this top but it does look a little better when I do. It was only $9!
I love finding Free People for cheap. This is also from ThredUp and I’ve worn it so often with jeans and joggers. You can’t really tell, but it is ribbed and a thick sweater material. Great for fall layering and it was less than $20.
I could not stop thinking about this cow sweater! I’ve read that cow print is very ‘in’ right now so I did a random search on Poshmark and fell in love with this. HOW OUTRAGEOUS IS IT?! It’s a Michael Simon sweater and since purchasing this one I also bought another of his sweaters that I’ll probably share in October. I bought it for $40 on Poshmark, but I had just sold a bunch of other clothes on there, so I only had to pay for shipping.
Probably my favorite thing I’ve ever thrifted. I’ve been looking for baggier, looser jeans but have had a hard time finding a pair that is long enough (since I’m 5″9), loose in the hips but not too big in the waist. I think it was pure luck this pair from Poshmark fits me as well as it does. The brand is Faded Glory and I sized up 2 sizes. I got these for $22 plus shipping!
What a super fun find I got at 2nd Avenue! I was drawn to this dress because of the gold on the straps, but I also love this color!I’m probably going to take some fun pictures in it since I don’t have any place to actually wear it to, but it was less than $15 so I couldn’t say no.
How stunning is this dress?! I found it while shopping down the racks of 2nd Avenue. Did I need another 1920’s-esque dress in my closet? Absolutely not but the detail in this dress is incredible and the design reminds me of sand dollars. It was my size too so I couldn’t say no. I think it was like $18.
I had shoes like this in college that were just a ~little~ too small, so I never wore them. I ended up selling that pair last year on ThredUp and totally forgot about them. But while I was browsing through 2nd Avenue, I saw these on the shelf for $10! They are actually a little big on me which is just ironic compared to the last pair I had. But I think these are a good summer to fall transition shoe.
These were my go-to sandals all summer. They remind me of Jack Rogers but I didn’t even have to break these in. The bottoms are a little worn down so I did slide and trip and fall when I was walking to FedEx the other day, but I lived. And these were still a great find for less than $15.
I originally bought these from ThredUp for an outfit recreation that I never got around to (oops). But I think I’ll get some use in these for the fall season, I just need to break them in more. They are Joe Fresh flats and are usually like $60, but I got them for $17.
I’ve already thrifted a bunch more clothes that are perfect for fall and spooky szn that I can’t wait to show you. Let me know what you think of these finds in the comments!
Thanks for reading! xx
