“You’re the second man who killed me this week, but I’ve got seven lives left.”
Supervillan or boujie cat burglar? It’s all the same right? Okay maybe I should have worn cat ears to make it more obvious (like in this post)…but I think they really took away from the overall look. I’m realizing now I could definitely be mistaken for ‘batwoman’ too, so please don’t tell Robert Pattinson I’m coming for his job. This is how I would style a catwoman Halloween costume for a twenty-something woman. Leather is one of my favorite materials to wear and really makes this outfit what it is. I don’t have the budget to get the full on catsuit but this is an excellent example of a costume that you really only need to buy 1 or 2 things, and the rest is in your closet.
I took these photos with my camera and tripod one day after work on this empty parking garage near my house, and it was so fun! I didn’t have worry about people staring which was great too. And the cement walls were a perfect setting for those pictures. For all you know, I took a quick trip to Gotham for these.
And yes! My hair is still brown from the Overtone. This is what it looks like after one wash. Definitely has a slight red tint now. I wanted to have brown hair for these pictures to give a nod to Anne Hathaway’s catwoman in ‘The Dark Night Rises’. But I actually got the idea to style this costume like this after seeing these photos from the new Batman movie with Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz. I can’t wait! Having brown hair is so fun for reasons like this! I literally look at these photos and I think “who is she??”.
This leather trench coat is a rental from Rent the Runway but I linked some similar coats below. Under this coat I wore a leather mini skirt and black bodysuit that I’ve had for years. Last time I wore these boots on the blog was for this post. I ordered this catwoman mask from Etsy! It was so perfect for this costume and fit my face so well. If you’re considering doing this costume for Halloween, order your mask ASAP!
What do you think of this costume? Let me know in the comments!
