My gut instinct whenever I wear orange is to make an ‘orange you glad…” joke, but I think I’ll pass on that one. But it was on the table! Today I wanted to share this pretty effortlessly-cool outfit that is great for fall, and I wanted to share some exciting news. I took these pictures when I was in Corolla, NC with my friends last week. Taylor, Abby and I drove down the street to see the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. It was definitely a quick sight-seeing trip, but Abby rediscovered what Boomerang was, so clearly it was worth it. I was so happy this sweater was delivered right before my trip so I could pack it. I got it from thredUP and you should keep reading if you want to know why I’m so excited to be wearing it.

Taylor and Abby.
Always gotta keep a mask on me. This orange tie-dye mask I have around my wrist in these pics is from The Moody Studios.
I bought this sweater on thredUP and it was such a find. I’ve been looking for cropped cardigans for a few weeks, and was set on finding one with a ribbed pattern in a bright orange color. I did stumble upon some cropped cardigans from online retailers (that I will link below incase you’re looking for something similar) but I love shopping secondhand. When it comes to basics and universal pieces, I think thredUP is the best place to buy from. Every time you buy something from thredUP you’re doing both the environment and your wallet a favor and there is so much to pick from.
Now you can see I’m hyping up thredUP a lot in this post (not that I haven’t done that in the past) but you may be wondering, why? I’m so excited to announce I’m a thredUP ambassador now! thredUP is a brand that I really love and respect and that I use regularly! And just to be fully transparent, I actually bought this sweater before I was even accepted into the program. (Before I even applied to the program maybe.) I have shopped at thredUP more than any other retailer this year, which makes this partnership even more special to me.
The jeans I’m wearing above are also thrifted, but I actually found them at my local thrift store. It’s a miracle they fit this well because it was a last minute grab while I was waiting in line to checkout. They make my waist look snatched, fit around my thighs and are long enough so my ankles aren’t cold. So that is also a huge win.
I’m linking some similar sweaters and jeans below, but I would highly recommend checking out your local thrift store or heading to thredUP to find similar pieces to what I’m wearing.
Thanks for reading! xx
