my house of stone, your ivy grows…
This is yet another shirt I only bought because Taylor Swift wore it once. But how gorgeous is this Victorian lace top?! Shoutout to Taylor Swift Style for finding this top that Taylor wore for a 2 minute video back in November. I rarely buy clothes new these days (because shopping secondhand is my new go-to) but I am so happy I bought this shirt on sale at Macy’s. It gives off major folklore vibes, is very romantic and a little Victorian. It is also super comfortable which is great for working from home. Here is how I would style this “Walk in the Park” Free People Top.
I wanted to take pictures in this shirt at the specific location because of all the ivy. “ivy” on evermore is totally in my top three for the album now and has been on repeat for the last few weeks. And after hunting down this shirt, the vision for these pictures came together. To me, the song “ivy” takes place in like medieval or 1800’s time. So even though this ivy in these photos is growing on an old restaurant in Columbia, I still think it fits the vibe perfectly. If you don’t snag this short (which is on sale and going fast), I at least hope you use these photos for inspiration for your own folklore/evermore photoshoot!
I went to the Wilde Lake Waterfront one morning a few weeks ago where Clydes used to be before they closed. I go for walks around this area with my friend Sarah a lot and I have wanted to take pictures with this gorgeous ivy for the longest time. I just set up my tripod and self-timer and tried to avoid the morning joggers. Most of them were very sweet when they saw I was taking photos!
