Pro-tip: now that weddings are a thing again, you can save a ton of money by renting your dresses instead of buying them. As a Rent the Runway Ambassador, I am the biggest advocate for renting, instead of buying for big events. Last weekend I went to a wedding in Richmond for one of my best friend’s sisters. While I have a monthly subscription to Rent the Runway, I did a one-time rental for this dress I’m wearing above. It was quick, easy, not as expensive as if I had bought a totally new dress and I got so many compliments! Over the last 2 years, I have rented a bunch of dresses from RTR that I think would make excellent wedding guest dresses. So here are my top picks for Wedding Guest Dress from Rent The Runway.
Use my code ‘RTRFAM576C838‘ to get 40% off 2 months of RTR’s 8 and 16 item memberships.
Here’s how it works:
If you do a one-time rental, you will make your RTR account and enter all of your information (including sizing). Then you select the days you need a dress for and RTR will show you what is available in your size during that time. You pay a one time rental price (which is a fraction of what the dress is normally to own) and a few shipping costs. RTR sends shipping notifications when your dress is on its way. When you get it, it comes in a reusable, mailable bag and a return shipping label inside. It also comes with a hanger and plastic bag over it to protect it (fun fact: if you send back the plastic bag, RTR will recycle it).
After you’ve worn your dress, it is time to send it back. Swap out the old shipping label for the new one and drop the dress off at your local UPS or Fedex (it will tell you on the label).
You can find any of these dresses on Rent the Runway! Friendly reminder to use my code ‘RTRFAM576C838‘ to get 40% off 2 months of RTR’s 8 and 16 item memberships.
