Back in September when I was on my way to Colorado, I finished reading “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid on the plane. And I cried my eyes out! I swear- I have never been so thankful for mandatory mask mandate. I am such an ugly crier and could not control myself. I loved this book so much- I knew I wanted to dress up as Evelyn for Halloween. She is iconic for her green dress and platinum hair. While I’m definitely not platinum and this dress is a little darker than the book described, I was able to put this costume and photoshoot together by only purchasing one thing- the gloves! Here are more pictures and how you can pull off an Evelyn Hugo costume.
Fun fact: this is my friend Ashley’s real life Emmy! THAT SHE WON! I was dog sitting her darling angel BB when I took these photos and I just couldn’t resist grabbing the Emmy for a few photos. Yes, I know in the book Evelyn wins an Oscar in the book… but when one of my friends wins an Oscar I will let you know.
And here is my darling angel BB on the same sofa where I took these photos. Isn’t she glamorous?
I used the Tezza app to edit these photos. I took these in my friend Ashley’s house with my DSLR, self-timer and tripod. The magic combination. I loved how they turned out! Very Hollywood glam and vintage looking.
Have you read “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo”? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading! xx
