I’m pretty sure the inside of the Greenbrier is what the inside of my imagination looks like. My mom and I drove 5 hours to Sulphur Springs, WV for a small girls weekend and for my mom’s birthday. The last girls trip we took together was to Charleston in 2019. It was such a delightful weekend! Here is a photo dump and a quick list of what we did. There is so much to do at the Greenbrier!
Not so fun fact: I had an eye infection the entire weekend! I looked like Quasimodo (ugh.) I don’t think you can notice it in any of these photos, but that also means I wore hardly any make-up this weekend. Not that you would notice that either… anyway….
Here’s a picture of the last time the Moseman’s were at the Greenbrier! NYE 2000!
Things We Did At The Greenbrier:
- Enjoy the multiple restaurants at the resort (you need to make a reservation for each one)
- Spend some time at the bars trying new cocktails
- Take a tour of The Bunker (you need to make a reservation for this too, tickets are $40 each)
- My mom got a pedicure at the spa for her birthday
- Order room service
- I walked around with my camera, tripod and long green dress to take photos
- Explore! You can just wander around and check out all of the fabulous and extravagant public rooms. The wallpaper and carpets are insane!
- 4pm tea time in the main lobby every day
- Check out the stores and shops inside the resort
- Enjoy live music and drinks in the casino bar
It snowed while we were there, which was beautiful!!! But we would have taken advantage of some of the outdoor activities the Greenbrier has to offer if it hadn’t been so cold. Fun Fact: the last time my family went to the Greenbrier, I was 4! It was for the Millennium- NYE 2000! I don’t remember anything besides being sick. But it was fun to actually experience all the Greenbrier has to offer this time around and to hear the stories of our first time there from my mom.
Have you ever been to the Greenbrier? Let me know in the comments!
