I’m just “enjoying my time”.
On this episode of Kim’s traveling ‘ventures, I flew up to Massachusetts last week to visit Allison. She has been travel nursing since the summer and it was about time I went up to see her. To be honest, it is hard for me to even miss her because she calls me every.single.day. But I had a blast visiting her (per usual) and I wanted to share some pictures.
Exploring Boston:
I was told to sit on the left side of the plane so I could see this beautiful view as I arrived.
Getting picked up from the airport by a very special man (Allison’s roommate’s dog, Brooks)
Boston in it’s Lover Era
Trader Joe’s cheese board (and you know I always have to have my La Croix)
On the first day I arrived, the Baltimore Orioles were playing the Boston Red Sox at Fenway! So of course, we had to go, and rep the birds.
The next day, we played tourist and walked around some popular spots in Boston. We also rode city bikes (which I like way more than scooters) and I only almost crashed once.
Martha’s Vineyard
The next day (despite me being wildly hung over), we took the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.
We stayed at this adorable inn that had cheese + wine in the evening and mimosas in the morning. I can’t recommend The Pequot Hotel enough!
One of my favorite parts of MV was all the adorable gingerbread houses scattered around the island!
It rained for most of our time there, but we tried to make the most of it by drinking mimosas on the front porch, reading, and exploring local stores.
On the last night we went to The Sweet Life Cafe and the food was amazing!
Salem:
After almost missing the ferry back home to Boston, we regrouped and then decided to go to Salem the next day. This was my second time going!
We did a walking history tour of Salem with Black Cat Tours and it was so informational! I thought I knew enough about Salem, but there was so much I learned.
Thanks so much to Allison for hosting me! Can’t wait to visit you at your next travel assignment (wherever that may be).
Thanks for reading! xx
