Happy Halloween friends! I have saved what I deem as “the best for last” with my final costume for the month. Truth be told, I hardly own any pink (which is why I rented most of this costume) but there is just something about diving headfirst into the pink + feminine vibes on Halloween. After all, Halloween is about getting to put on an outrageous costume and man, do I love to play dress up. I did this other signature Holly Golightly look in 2020 (when I had brown hair) but I have been dying to do this look since I rewatched Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Here is how you can pull together this costume too, and more photos in my chic little apartment. It was truly the perfect setting – all I need is a cat!
I’ve scattered quite a few reference photos in this post, but the one below was my main inspiration! I know this scene in the movie turns into Holly crying on a bed of confetti after she has an absolute meltdown… but there was no way I could capture that angle by myself (or did I want to make a mess of my apartment). I took all of these with my DSLR, tripod and a self timer. I edited them on my phone with the Tezza App!
Doing my hair for this was slightly challenging. I am definitely not an expert, but I did try to do a french twist with some volume at the top. Shoutout to my claw clip for making that slightly easier. For make-up I did my basic routine, but with cat-eye eyeliner and some pink lipstick.
I rented both the coat and dress from Rent the Runway! Click here to use my code for 40% off your first month! I have never been super into the Selkie dresses I’ve seen on Instagram, but getting to wear this one made me feel like a Barbie doll. 5 year old Kimberly would be LIVING for this look.
I had originally bought a plastic tiara for the crown/hairclip, but I didn’t think it looked right. So I thrifted a “Holly Golightly Hairpiece” from Poshmark and painted it pink. My shoes are originally from Lulu’s from 2 years ago, but I linked some similar heels (and other pieces below). I didn’t have a sparkly clutch like Holly, so I used my old Kate Spade crossbody. My earrings are also Kate Spade and I think I borrowed these sunglasses from my friend, Ashley. If you want more links for this look, check out this post!
