I have been meaning to post pictures of my bedroom for so long! Since I’m really the only person who ever sees it, I have really been lacking with decorating when it comes to my bedroom. But recently, my parents helped me move my grandmother’s old vanity into my room, so I could have a place to do my make-up. And with that final addition, I am happy to save that my room is officially decorated. Huzzah! Everything is perfect. I took these photos during a random Saturday so you will probably notice I have a lot of knick-knacks and a lot of clutter. What can I say? I like stuff. So this is truly a very realistic photo selection of my personal space, as I actively live in it. I got the majority of my decorations from antique stores. And that is why I dub this room “grand-millennial”. My Nana would absolutely love the way this room is styled. That grandma-ish blue and white china pattern has always been one of my favorites, and was the biggest influence for decorating this room. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see some links of items (that were not thrifted) and read some not-so-exciting news.
I originally got this monogramed pillow from Land’s End and my duvet set from Kohl’s. Both are sold out so I linked similar below. The actual sheets shown in these photos are still for sale at Target!
The window sill doubles as a second night stand. I don’t normally like having my bed against a wall, because it’s harder to make my bed. But with the way my bedroom is shaped, there is no other option.
I found the glasses and the piggy bank at “Objects Found” in Catonsville. I got the candle from a local shop in Downtown Frederick and the candlestick holder while antiquing with my mom.
I got the small pumpkin from “Objects Found” as well, and the glass balls while antiquing with my mom. The book is actually Taylor Swift merch (it’s the All Too Well journal) and I got the greek goddess candle from Etsy. The white candle I’ve had since college and I got the sleeping cocker spaniel from my parents. My grandparents used to have all of these cocker spaniel figurines and now we have dispersed them across my family.
I got the framed picture of the hydrangeas at “Objects Found”. My bedframe came with the apartment, but the nightstand was just sitting in my parents garage. All of the small rugs in my apartment are from Target.
My bedroom is shaped kind of weird. My friend Tiffany was selling this lovely clothing rack last summer on Facebook Marketplace, and I think it fills in that corner so nicely.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the high ceilings. When I first moved in, they honestly freaked me out.
This was my Nana’s vanity! We had refurbished it years ago, but it was just sitting in my parents garage. Originally I had a book shelf and a TV here when I first moved in, but it really just collected all my junk and I never used the TV, since I have one in my living room. I love having a set space to do my make-up, I just have not figured out the best source of light for this corner.
My Aunt B gave me this lovely plate and it goes so well in my room. I got the cat perfume bottle from “Objects Found”.
I have so many books in my apartment, I started using them to stack things around my room. I am also super surprised I still have any perfume left in those Wonderstruck bottles.
This lovely dresser also came with the apartment. I found the black plastic drawers on the street right outside my building when I first moved in.
My dresser really just manages to collect clutter, but at least I know the general area in which to find things.
I get all my frames for my signed Taylor covers from Target! I have 4 signed albums in the main area of my apartment.
I love to hang up my race medals. All of these frames were thrifted!
My best friend Kayla gave me this Kate Spade polka dot throw when I first moved in. I also want to give a big shoutout to Jordan for giving me his mattress when he moved to Colorado with Melissa.
Another shot of my beautiful vanity, since it was the last addition to the space.

Life Update:
It’s ironic I am finally sharing these photos, I have to share the news that I am moving out of my lovely apartment. This came as a huge shock to me, but my landlord would like to sell the unit and there is nothing I can do about it. I had the option to purchase it, but that is just not a wise option for me right now. I’ve cried my tears and tried to make peace with losing my little slice of paradise, but now that I’ve had time to process it, I’m ready for the next thing. Which is *drum roll please* moving back home with my parents! I KNOW I KNOW! I didn’t see this one coming on my 2023 bingo card. This definitely is not where I pictured myself at 27 (almost 28), but I know moving back home is the best move for me right now.
Don’t let that last paragraph fool you. I am CRUSHED. DEVASTATED. WOAH IS ME! I love living by myself and I love the charm and character of my apartment. This has been my little slice of paradise for the last 2 years, but truthfully, living in Baltimore does not really suit my current lifestyle. I am away from my apartment for over 1/3 of the year. That feels very wasteful to me. So not having to pay rent while I continue gallivanting over the DMV and continental United States sounds pretty good to me right now. I’m very thankful my parents are graciously taking me back.
There are a bunch of reasons I’m excited to move home, but I won’t bore you with those reasons in this post. I also won’t share the other personal changes I’m in the process of handling until things finally stick. All you need to know, dear reader, is that my days in Baltimore are limited. I’ll still be in MD, but if you have any spare “good vibes” to throw my way in the next few weeks, I would appreciate them.
Thanks for reading! xx

Your sense of style I see isn’t just in your outfits, but spills over into an adorable apartment with lots of tasteful, functional, and meaningful items that clearly bring you joy! The vanity looks like it was meant for that spot and that spot only with its perfect fit.
There are lots of pros for moving back home for a bit and it will certainly fuel your love of travel! Beautiful documentation of a special place in your independence. Best of luck in your move and to eventually, your next very own place!
