I love my friends. I love brunch. I love dressing up. I love fall. I love my birthday! And I love combining all of those into one large party. My 28th birthday was on a Sunday this year, so I decided to host a breakfast potluck with a bunch of my friends still in the DMV. Since moving back home into my parents’ house, I couldn’t have the big blow out party I’ve had in recent years, so I was so happy on this day. I was surrounded by my favorite people and felt so special. I also love when everyone pitches in and comes together for meals. I asked everyone to dress up in garden party attire/ fall colors and I had a blast setting up tables like it was Thanksgiving! I love candle lit meals, grandma-looking china and bouquets of flowers and I am so happy with how everything turned out. Shout out to Aimee for helping to capture everything on her camera!
let’s all ignore the spelling error on the cake. it was delicious and that is all that matters.
Shoutout to my wonderful parents for letting me host the brunch here, and shout out to my friend Ash for coming over the say before the brunch and helping me set up!
The day before my party I went to my local thrift store to pick up some fall aesthetic plates, glasses, placemats and candle stick holders. The morning of the party, I went to Trader Joe’s to pick up some fresh flowers.
I already had so many candles and candle stick holders from my apartment that came in handy!
There were people on “flower + fire” duty during the whole event.
We also had old bottles in my parents’ garage that I used as flower vases.
This is what we called the “Ravens table” because we had the game on and this was the best seat in the house.
My view from the head of the table.
Shoutout to my mom for already having Happy Birthday napkins.
I am so proud of how everything looked!
I love being a hostess.
And I had a glass of Prosecco with me the whole time.
Thank you so much to Ash, Ashley and Julia for helping to set everything up with me!
I am still so obsessed with my cake.
Ash got me my cake from SugarBakers in Catonsville! She is the best!
Thank you Aimee for bringing your wide Polaroid camera too.
And thank you Cassie for bringing your “vintage” digital camera to capture lovely candid moments like this.

I gave a small toast after everyone sat down, and then everyone went around and shared their favorite memory with me. Almost made me cry.
Shoutout to Ashley for showing up at 9:15am to help me set up and get ready with me.

Story time for my dress: I was originally going to wear a green dress I bought during the Reformation sale, but then my friend Kalen said it was a little “tame” for me, so I decided to rent some dresses from Nuuly. And I am so glad I did! Here is my referral link!
Thanks for reading! xx

Enjoyed seeing your birthday celebration! Lovely dress and your hair and make up had you looking radiant! I also love pretty dishes and you did a wonderful job of mixing things up to create a unique table setting. I’m so happy you were able to celebrate in style the day you were born for you are indeed a gift to all who know you!
(If you want to correct them there are a few typos under some of the pictures near the top…shout out vs should; day vs say; bottles vs bottoms. Maybe they were intentional or working so hard on a huge posting. Your postings are always so perfect, so I just happened to notice these minor things.)

Thank you for the sweet comment and the spelling suggestions! I really appreciate it. Can you tell I was still feeling the weight of those mimosas when I posted this? Love you!!
