I would have loved for this to be a “what I bought” post but unfortunately, my car needs all new tires and new brakes. So it looks like any spring purchases will be put on hold until I can totally pay off this outrageous car bill. If I do end up buying new clothes, I will try to thrift them locally or on thredUP or Poshmark. But for the sake of this blog post, I wanted to share some links you can actually follow to items I have my eye on this spring.

In an effort to curb my shopping habits, I’ve decided that I want to start tracking my shopping purchases. I already track my outfits everyday, so adding this info to a spreadsheet seems like a no brainer. This series will not include groceries, experiences, food, gas or travel (you know, the necessities). I haven’t done a ton of shopping in 2024 yet (at least, to me), but here are the things I purchases in January and February.

One of my favorite things I did in 2023 was track every outfit I wore in a Google Sheets Spreadsheet. I was inspired by people on Tiktok to do so, in order for me to really get a gage on what I regularly wear. I wanted to share my most worn items from 2023 and share what I learned about myself and my closet during this process.

Happy Halloween! Over the weekend, my darling friend Mary threw a Halloween party over the weekend and I decided to dress up as a dirty martini. Because I have never had an original thought in my entire life, I got this idea from the clock app and made a point to DIY it and thrift all of the pieces. As a friendly reminder, I am a #thredupambassador and I got 75% of this costume from thredUP.

The urge to cut my hair into a bob is overwhelming.
On the eve of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) being dropped, I thought it was appropriate to share a project I have been working on since 2020. During quarantine, I made it a game of trying to find items of clothing Taylor Swift has worn (in my size) on secondhand online stores (namely Poshmark, thredUP and Mercari). Finding an exact item online scratches an itch in my brain. I’m like a pirate hunting for treasure. I’ve done this series for almost all of her other eras (click here to check out Fearless, Speak Now, RED, reputation and Lover) so of course I had to do an entire post dedicated to 1989. I’ve always admired Taylor’s ability to shift into different eras with her clothes and hairstyle. I think her 1989 street style is the most recognizable of her eras and had the most intention and planning behind it (who leaves the gym in 6 inch heels?!) So allow me to transport you back to 2014 & 2015 as we dive into what made her 1989 era so unique and where I found these outfit pieces, incase you feel like recreate some of these looks too.

Happy almost Halloween! It has certainly been a minute since I’ve done a #Kimberkopy that isn’t about Taylor Swift, but when I saw the music video for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” song, I knew immediately I wanted to recreate it. Not only is the song a complete banger, I love the story the MV tells. I especially love how I get Twilight vibes from the first section and then the 4th wall is broken and she runs out of the theater. So naturally, I DIY-ed her outfit and took some photos with my tripod out in the yard of one of the houses I petsit for. Enjoy these photos!

Once upon a time, I thought my top love language was gifts. And not to say I don’t love giving the people I care about something that makes me think of them, or love giving myself a little treat every now and again. But I definitely don’t expect anything from anyone. That being said, I love lists and I love making wishlists of things I will probably buy myself after I use “girl-math” logic to validate my purchases. So you will find this list to be sort of extravagant, but a girl can dream! Here are the 5 items that make up my outrageous birthday list.

In honor of Speak Now Taylor’s Version being released, I thought it would be an excellent time to share yet another quarantine project I did way back when in 2020. I wouldn’t say her style is very “iconic” in this era, mainly because I think it bleeds into the Fearless era vibe a bit. I chose a few of these outfits due to their proximity to when I saw Taylor for the first time in Washington D.C. on August 3, 2011 for the Speak Now Tour. That time is really what kicked off my love for her style through her eras. So it felt appropriate to finally bring these photos out since I’ve been listening to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) non-stop since 7/7! If you grew up alongside Taylor and ever felt inspired by her outfits, I hope you enjoy this blog post. You can check out my Fearless, RED, Cape Cod, reputation and Lover era recreations too!

Its been a minute since I’ve done a shopping cart list! Perhaps that is because I am trying to curb my summer shopping so I can prepare for student loans to start back up again (ugh), but that won’t stop me from looking! There is not a whole lot in my shopping cart, but here is what I have my eye on.

Phew- this blog post ended up being wayyyy longer than I made a separate post about all the shoes I am eyeing this spring, but this post evolved into a very long wishlist. I am very aware of the fact that this list is a little outrageous and I will most likely not even buy 3 things on this list, but as a (bad) fashion blogger, it is my duty to show you some clothes I have my eye on.
