By this point, you would think I would come up with catchier titles for my blog posts. But alas, sometimes short and sweet and to the point is best. This blog post is all about this super easy casual weekend outfit. This look encompasses so many of my favorite current trends: the square neckline, baggy jeans, cutout booties and leopard hair scarf. I randomly decided to take these in my foyer on my tripod because I was tired of being cold and having to take pictures outside for the sake of good lighting. The sun is shining through the window above my front door in these pictures, but honestly I think it looks pretty cool. More pictures and outfit details below!

I promise these pictures make me look so much more bada** than I actual am. I wore all black because I knew Kayla was going to wear all black and I can only try to be as edgy and goth and punk rock as she is. It’s been a while since we’ve shot together but Kayla came up with this whole concept and I just absolutely love how these pictures turned out! The Graffiti Alley in Baltimore is so cool. I totally recommend checking it out if you live near Baltimore. Kayla has been here a few times and there were a bunch of other people taking photos while we were there, or just admiring the scenery. There’s even a parking lot right next to it, which I know is rare in a city. Click ‘read more’ to check out more pics and get some outfit details!

Do you ever see a super outrageous or out-there fashion piece and think omg I have to have it? Well that is exactly what I was thinking the moment I laid eyes on a pink faux fur leopard coat. First I saw one on Luca & Grae but I was able to resist buying it because at the time, my budget did not allow for it. But I’m so glad I held off because I was able to find this coat on Rent the Runway! Which was much more cost efficient for me. Honestly I love the bold statement this coat makes, but I know I have a problem when it comes to buying coats so I need to get more in the habit of renting or borrowing. So even though I had to give this coat back, I still wanted to share 3 ways to style a pink leopard coat.

You’re the king baby I’m your queen.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I think I’m making it a tradition to post a Blank Space recreation every year on Valentine’s Day. Last year when I did this recreation, I think it was the first time I actually bought an entire costume and props just for a recreation. And in just a year we have come a long way! Thank God Blank Space has so many iconic outfits and thank God my attitude towards dating and men right now is still pretty in sync with the message of this music video (not actually, but kinda). Details on where I got everything for this outfit and scene are below!

Spoiler alert: I don’t have a date for Friday night, but I do have an outfit. Don’t worry I’m not heartbroken about it, mainly because I get to share this outfit here on the blog. I rented this dress from Rent the Runway but definitely feel like I could wear very often if I bought it. I sized up because it does run a little small but sleeves, deep v front and extra fabric hanging from the waist, I realized this would be a great dress for a Valentine’s Day dinner date… IF ONLY I HAD ONE. Anyway, there are a bunch of links below.

So this may sound weird, but I am obsessed with textured clothing. Wait…that’s not weird. Oh. Saying “I like wearing clothes with material that encourages people to feel me” is weird. But honestly, who doesn’t?! I rented this gorgeous midi dress above from Rent the Runway and I am so in love with it. From the lace detail, the sheer sleeves, midi skirt length and super detailed embroidery, this dress is a dream. It’s everything I have ever wanted in a dress and I linked it and similar dresses below.

Happy 2020 everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe New Years Eve. My friends and I threw a Gatsby themed house party and it was so fun! This is the third 1920s themed party I’ve thrown in my life and I now feel obligated to continue the trend until 2030. I love dressing up in 1920s flapper attire and I love it when my friends dress up with me (usually I’m on my own with the whole ‘playing dress-up’ thing). I rented this gorgeous sequin dress from Rent the Runway and brought out my old Daisy headband from my Gatsby party a few years ago. More pics and some similar dresses are below!

Maybe it’s not my weekend, but it’s gonna be my year.
I think I’ve been singing those lyrics to myself every NYE since I was 13. Honestly 2020 snuck up on me big time. I’m throwing a Gatsby themed party tomorrow with some friends and I haven’t even gotten everything I need to decorate for it. We’re entering a new decade which is very exciting because I can only imagine all of the exciting things that will happen in my life in the next 10 years, but at the same time, the thought completely overwhelms me. So rather than think super big picture about anything, I’ve decided to make a quick post about the basics of what I really need to enjoy my New Years Eve tomorrow and 3 simple steps I can do in the next few days before I make a precise list of resolutions or goals for the year.

I have such a love for the Roaring 20’s so you can probably guess my excitement for all of us to be entering a new 20’s era. I really enjoyed reading The Great Gatsby in high school and that quickly turned into a love for F. Scott Fitzgerald, his work and his love story with this wife Zelda. I’ve thrown two 1920’s themed parties already in my life and I’m about to throw a third on NYE. I’m actually not wearing this outfit but I seriously love this look. This gorgeous sequin cowl neck, high slit midi dress is a rental from Rent the Runway and everything else I already owned (which is a pic win for me). Roaring 1920’s fashion is something I really admire and I hope I embodied that in this outfit. If you’re attending a Gatsby NYE party this week, you’ve stumbled upon a great post. If you scroll down, you’ll find some 1920s appropriate party captions for Instagram and some more pictures of me looking like a true flapper girl (so basically, in my happiest state).
