I love sequins in December. Actually I like sequins any day of the year, but especially during the holidays. Maybe because it’s most socially acceptable…but I think mainly because there are so many sequin and glitter options at stores in prep for holiday parties and New Years Eve. I probably wouldn’t wear this outfit for NYE this year because I’m hoping to go all 1920’s/Gatsby-ish.But I rented this top from Rent the Runway and I think it’s a great going out top for the month of December. I’m feeling very 70’s disco in this outfit, which is not my preferred decade but I’m vibing with it. Hope you like!

Am I the only person who didn’t know how much people hate The Polar Express? I don’t know if this has always been the case or if it’s a new general hatred, but so many of my friends have gone out of their way to tell me how much they hate this movie. How funny is that?! I really don’t mind the movie to be honest. It’s not my favorite but I do have a fond memory of watching it back in like 2004 at my Oma and Opa’s house on an air mattress with my brothers at like 10pm on Christmas. So maybe that is why it gives me happy thoughts! Regardless of how you feel about the Polar Express, I took these pictures in front of the B&O Railroad museum in Old Ellicott City on a very rainy day and I love how they turned out. Click the ‘read more’ button for more pictures, similar dresses and of course a super cringe story of when I wore this on Thanksgiving.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, I think we can all agree it is now time to break out the holiday sweaters and red tartan. If I could wear the outfit I am in the above picture all month, I would. I got this shirt from Old Navy last year and just bought this vest from J.Crew a week months ago. I love festive wear and there are so many great options out there right now, most of them still on sale from all the Black Friday sales! Scroll down for similar options like what I’m wearing and my top picks for festive holiday clothes.

Wow, I am so plaid it’s Friday. I’m also super happy to have finally tried out Rent the Runway. That’s where I got this coat and so many other goodies I can’t wait to show you. So I know there is this social battle going on about whether or not it is “Christmas Season” right now…right before Thanksgiving. Usually I’m all set to jump right into Christmas but lately I have been enjoying fall so much. The leaves are still changing colors and pumpkin food is still acceptable. I must admit I did cave and have a Starbucks holiday drink the other day, but I think those should be around all year long. Regardless of where you stand on the whole “Christmas Right Now” or “Justice for Thanksgiving” war, this outfit I’m wearing is very fall and would be great for Thanksgiving. Links below!

Am I the only person getting Sharon Tate vibes from this outfit? I never saw “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” but I have seen all those fan accounts for Margot Robbie playing Sharon Tate on Twitter. The turtleneck and leather skirt remind me of those same 70s vibes, but that’s not why I put this outfit together. I think this is basically just a compilation of a bunch of basics every girl should have in her closet. Black turtles are going to be huge this season (per usual) and are such a chic, simple classic that also keeps you warm. I also think these polka dot tights give this outfit a fun, spunky spin. I feel I could be giving tours in a fancy art museum, but also crush a man’s hopes and dream in a cocktail bar. Looks like you can have it all ladies, as long as you dress for it.

“Wednesday’s at that very special age when a girl has only one thing on her mind.”
“Boys?
“Homicide.”
It’s the day before Halloween, which also means it’s a Wednesday. Which makes for the perfect time to share this KimberKopy. I love the Addams Family movies and especially Christina Ricci’s version of Wednesday. So many great one-liners! There was no question I wanted to recreate Wednesday’s iconic look this Halloween season. I found this adorable pearl collar dress on Amazon and I’m definitely wearing it to work on Thursday. Similar dresses are linked below, and a confession about when I used to trick-or-treat…

Have you ever seen Tim Burton’s 2012 ‘Dark Shadows’? It has to be one of my favorite Halloween movies! Dark Shadows is based off of the show (same name) that aired in the 60’s. The movie takes place in 1970’s Maine, includes vampires, witches, werewolves spiteful ex-lovers, powerful women, and has some wild plot twists. I have always loved Eva Green’s character, Angelique, in this movie. Although she is a vengeful, and crazy ex of the main character, Barnabas, her attention to detail in her revenge points is mighty impressive, she spends decades running a seafood monopoly in the small town of Collinsport, and looks absolutely fabulous while doing it all. I rarely side with the villain in a movie, but this woman knows what she wants and how to get it. I especially love her death in the movie, which I tried to recreate above. More recreations of scenes and the stories behind them are below!
