You need to calm down… you’re being too loud… I have been waiting to do these recreations since the YNTCD music video came out (which was in JUNE)! It took forever for all of these pieces to come in and I have been so busy lately I haven’t had any time to shoot new photos. So BIG thanks to Allison for taking time out of her Saturday to take these photos of me and then force me to go to Orange Theory after. Something I’m doing slightly different with these posts is adding a part called “Story Behind The Outfit” where I talk about how I got the pieces and any fun facts. Let me know if you like that in the comments!

Lover is officially out! I feel like I’ve been waiting for this album for sooooo long but also this time has flown by. It’s midnight and I’m about to listen to the whole album from iTunes and then I’m getting up at 6:30am to go to Target to get the physical copy and bonus booklets (Taylor Swift’s diaries? Yes, I’ll take ALL OF THEM). I’ll make a post of my first thoughts and ratings for the songs and post them later, but for now I wanted to share some Lover recreation posts I did and some Lover era clothing I found that is all super reasonable. Although I would gladly accept anything from Lirika Matoshi because it is literally perfect for the Lover era, I already know I’m going to throw away all my money this week solely to Taylor Swift. Also, GO LISTEN TO LOVER AND BUY THE ALBUM ON ITUNES!
Read More >>Grace Kelly Recreation + 3 Historical Fiction Books
I have wanted to do this recreation for so long! One of my favorite kinds of recreations to do is old vintage pictures so naturally any pictures of Grace Kelly are 1. worth appreciating and 2. worth while trying to recreate. If you don’t know the original picture I’m talking about, scroll down! In this post I also included three historical fiction books I found at the Bethany Beach Books Store when I was at the beach last week. Historical fiction is definitely my favorite genre and although I’ve only started one of these books, I’m excited for all three and wanted to share. They seem like very easy, light reads so if you are into historical fiction like me, scroll down to see what I’m reading!

Here I am; au naturale with no make-up on! Being completely honest, I rarely wear make-up anymore and you can bet any sort of make-up is minimal at the beach. I just wrapped up a family vacation at Bethany Beach which was super fun, mega relaxing and really sparked a new fire in me for my blog. I have so many new ideas and post ideas that I’m so excited to execute and show y’all. I have to admit I was in a little bit of a slump but now after a week of doing nothing at the beach, I have some new found inspiration. So with that being said, here’s one of my favorite beach outfits I wore this past week. Try to ignore the fact that I’m getting overshadowed by a sunset.

So I just invested in my first pair of Soludos Espadrilles a few weeks ago and I am obsessed! They are super comfortable and I always get a ton of compliments. I actually got this pair off of Poshmark because I have wanted the crab/lobster pattern for years! But as I was checking out other patterns of Soludos on their website I found out that they are having a huge summer sale right now! Most of the espadrilles are under $50! Check out my top picks from the sale below!!

Sometimes we think that things are going to be one way, and they end up being a totally different way. Jobs can be like that. Outfits we plan in our head can be like that. People can especially be that way. What I’m referring to in this very moment is when Kayla and I went to this sunflower field this week only to find that all the sunflowers were DEAD! ALL OF THEM! Of course, we made the best of it and Kayla is such a talented photographer. We actually went to this same field 2 years ago! Soooo much has changed since then! I had just started my blog and was still recovering from my jaw surgery. Seriously go check out those blogs just to get an idea of how far we’ve come in the last 2 years.
So while I didn’t expect this field to be dead and barren of sunflowers, I love these photos and this outfit and the fact that I got to hang out with Kayla on this random day. I think it’s important to try to make the best out of any situation and not to let our expectations ruin something.

Is that title even a thing? If it is, I don’t think this outfit is it but I couldn’t think of another title. Lately I’ve been thinking about how I want my blog to grow and the type of content I want to put on here and I was thinking how I want to be more creative in my photoshoots. So I was going through Pinterest the other day and was checking out all of these fun photoshoot ideas and stumbled upon some really cool shoots at tennis courts. So that’s pretty much how this blog post was born. I took these with my friend Meera and while we were at these courts there was a group of like high school freshmen girls who were looking at us across the court like we had three heads! We laughed about it because hey, I guess that’s a part of the process. Hope you like these!

I was debating making a post at all, but obviously I made this one and the main reason why is to rationalize my own purchases. I don’t have a Nordstrom card so I have been waiting for today for a few weeks. A lot of what I thought I wanted is sold out by now but that’s okay! I really don’t know if I’m actually going to buy anything, but I guess well find out! On this blog, you’ll find my own ramblings about the sale and how I classify things I want to buy: ‘things that have a high ROI’, ‘things that could potentially be worth it’ and ‘please girl, only when pigs fly’. Check it out below!

Fun fact that I love to tell people: I took Photo 1…twice. That makes it sound like I failed out the first time and had to take it again, but the truth is I took an Intro to Photography class my senior year of high school and then again my senior year in college. The funnest (most fun?) fact about those classes too is that they were all about film photography. (I did take a digital photography class abroad in London, and that class ended up helping me the most with my photography). But I do have a lot and appreciation for film photography and a personal affection for this vintage camera I’m holding above. Click ‘read more’ to find out why.

I am so excited to announce I partnered with PrettyLittleThing for this post to share some of my favorite summer looks! PLT has a huge variety for so many different styles and sizes- it was so hard to just pick 3 things! I was in Rehoboth Beach over the weekend which was the perfect setting to show off all my new dresses. Best part about this post: ALL OF THESE DRESSES ARE ON SALE! Go check ’em out!
