La Vie En Roses Dress

Ever buy something that just brings you so much joy? That’s how I feel about this dress. I’m pretty sure Lulu’s offered it a few years ago and I’m so glad it’s back! It’s super comfortable and you don’t have to wear a bra with it, which you know I love. I just know I’ll be wearing it all summer. You may be able to tell from these pictures that I’m wearing my old Rainbow flip flops that are literally falling apart. Other shoes would have made this outfit a little more put together, but I was at the beach and lazy and doing a lot of walking. I also got a horrible sunburn on my chest and forehead when I took these so I hope these pictures give you quintessential beachy vibes.

Striped Vici Dress

Does this dress make my sunburn look bad? I sure hope not. This past weekend I took a short trip to Clearwater, Florida to get some much needed rest and sunshine…but I may have overdone it on the sunshine. Regardless, Clearwater is such a great beach town and I had such an amazing time. Best Spring Shoes

If you see me trying to buy more shoes anytime soon, stop me! Lately I have been purchasing so many different shoes whether they’re for running, work or just casual outings. My life has turned into that ancient Youtube video that goes “shoes. oh my gosh shoes”. Do you know the one? Plot twist: its just me in that video. Going Out Outfit: Black Peplum Top

A few weeks ago I was in DC (shocker) for happy hour at the Wharf. You may not see it in these photos, but I was so cold. It was freezing! But the show must go on and golden hour is the absolutely best time to take pictures. Up next in my “going out outfit” series is this shirt that I have had my eye on for years! It’s from Lulu’s and between you and me, it makes my boobs look really good it’s a super flattering top! I’ve always loved sheer/mesh panels on shirts so that is another reason I love this shirt. Fun fact: I got this jacket in high school for like $13! Ever since it’s my go-to going out jacket because it basically goes with everything and makes me look edgier than I am. Pink Striped Shirt

Ever go to DC the weekend before the cherry blossoms show up? Just me? Cool. At least my shirt looks like it belongs among the cherry blossoms. I’m kicking myself for not going a weekend later to be able to see them in full bloom, but I did see a few pink trees when I went a few weeks ago. GASP! White before Memorial Day? FORBIDDEN! Unless you’re graduating or are getting married or just don’t give a flying fa-doodle. Last year I posted this graduation dress guide to help myself and my friend’s find some white graduation dresses. Since then I’ve noticed that post getting a lot of hits on Pinterest, so I wanted to give a more current/accurate dress guide. And the fun part is that now I can’t even call this just a ‘graduation dress’ guide because I have friends who are getting married this year (!!!) and hey, they need white dresses too. (And I’m not talking the OG white dress, if you catch my drift). The dress I’m wearing above was my graduation dress from last year and I absolutely loved it. HEY NOW HEY NOW-OW. This is what jeansssss are made of- HEY HEY! I hope you like that bad joke/segway into introducing this outfit. Check out my first pair of distressed jeans. I have to admit that it’s kind of daunting to me that I will be wearing business casual for the rest of my life. That may seem morbid, but it’s true! Odds are, whatever job I have at any point of my life, I’ll be required to wear some level of business casual/business professional. That being said, I have been trying really hard lately to have my personal style shine through in my professional workwear.
