Last weekend I visited one of my best friends, Cori, in her hometown of Brick, New Jersey! I haven’t been to the Jersey Shore in like 4 years and it was so nice being back and seeing where she grew up. We had such a fun girls weekend with a bunch of my friends from college but in all honesty, parts of the weekend are a little blurry because we spent most of our time bar-hopping. But one of the first places Cori took all of us was Playa Bowl and it was absolutely incredible. I am so sad that we don’t have one near me in Maryland. Here is what I wore and some HD pictures of my playa bowl.
Spontaneous Louisville Adventure
So like two weeks ago, I made a very impromptu decision to fly to Kentucky for a weekend. Why you ask? Because one of my best friends had an extra ticket to see Taylor Swift, and what kind of friend would I be if I let her go alone?! I legit bought my plane ticket 6 days before the concert and didn’t get any sleep that Friday night because 1. I have a hard time saying no to friends who want to go out and 2. because I had to be at the airport at 4am to catch my flight. I spent a total of 36 hours in the wonderful state of Kentucky (never thought I’d ever say that) but we packed so much into a short time and it had to be one of my favorite weekends ever.
My Grad Party
You probably saw my post about graduation, but whats the point of getting that little diploma without a little party? My twin brother Chris just graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with an aerospace engineering degree and I just graduated from Salisbury University with a Communication Arts degree, so my parents threw us a party! It was a great time filled with friends, family, cake, pasta and an open bar. I want to thank my parents for putting it all together and all my friends who stopped by! Here are a bunch of pictures and more details about what I wore!
My First Cruise!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went on a post-graduation, pre-working-for-the-rest-of-my-life cruise with my best friend Taylor. You know Taylor from this blog. This was the first time either of us have been on a cruise and it was such a cool adventure! We were on the Carnival Conquest. We got mega sunburned on the first day, took so many naps, got a bunch of drinks and had the absolute best food the entire time. We spent 5 days on the ship total and went to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. I’m so happy I was able to do this right before I started my full time job and work up a nice tan. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but it was definitely an adventure! Here is a giant photo diary of my trip!
Vintage Striped Skirt
I actually shot these pictures a few weeks before graduation but didn’t have time to edit them until like three days ago. Theres this bayside beach calling Roaring Point that is 30 minutes away from my school and my roommate, Allison, is obsessed with going there. We started this weird tradition of eating Chinese takeout here and watching the sunset. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for showcasing this new outfit I got from Abercrombie. And while these pictures turned out great, the truth is…we were literally attacked by soooo many bugs that day. I think they were some type of gnat but ugh I got bitten by so many of them. I am positive I had over 100 bites all over me. Sigh. Well at least the pictures turned out good.
With my cat eye sunglasses and long midi skirt, this outfit gives me major 50s vibes which is exactly what I was going. Lets step back in time for a moment and enjoy this beautiful sunset, shall we…
I Graduated!
I DID IT! Yesterday I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor Arts degree in Communication Arts (Cum Laude!!!). I majored in public relations and double minored in marketing management and photography. After college I’m going to be the digital content and marketing coordinator for the organization I’ve been interning for these past two years. This also means I’m moving back home with mom and dad! Today my parents, brothers and I moved all of my stuff out of my house in Salisbury and then drove 2+ hours with a Uhaul. That was a long and exhausting day.
My head is literally spinning. My friends and I were trying to cherish and celebrate every moment. I get emotional thinking that college is actually over and I won’t see my friends all the time anymore . These four years have flown and have literally been the best years of my life. I think I’m in denial.
Here are a few of my graduation pictures. Some pictures my childhood bestie Kayla took (because she’s an angel) and the others I edited and my roommate Allison took (because I taught her well and she has a heart of gold). Outfit details are at the bottom!
Best Graduation Shoes from DSW
I’ll be honest for a second…I totally forgot I made this post! For a little while there, I was really busy with school, grad photos, and work so I completely forgot to post a bunch of blogs that were saved in my drafts. My life pretty much revolves around graduation these days and I just took my first round of graduation pictures of myself (which are a surprise), and a bunch of my friends. I have my dress all set but I’m in the market for some new shoes. So if you’re like me and have yet to find a great pair of grad shoes, this post is for you!
Personally, I like the ankle-strap look and I tried to pick shoes with more of a block heel because the last thing you want when you’re walking across the stage at graduation is to trip and fall.
I divided these shoes up but color: nude, pop of color, black and white. I found all of these on DSW so I know all of these will be great quality and you can definitely snag a coupon code. This is not sponsored or anything, I just thought DSW had great selection. Even if you don’t like any of these that I’ve picked out, I’m sure you can find a great pair of shoes on their website!
When you click on a pair in the picture, it will take you to a PDF and then you just click the picture again and BOOM you’re on the website. Sorry for the extra step in there, I’m not very tech savvy.

Happy shopping and thanks for reading! xx
Pink Stripes in Snow Hill
My mom has a tendency to hoard a bunch of old clothes that she no longer wears for years. The good news from this is that she gives me a bunch of 90s/00s clothes when she actually cleans her closet. I’ve gotten a lot of really wild clothing from her, from a sequin shirt with shoulder pads and a champagne bottle on it to a crimson red blazer and skirt set. But over spring break, she gave me this soft pink striped button down. I’ve been trying to wear more pink shades lately, especially after seeing this post from Amber Fillerup’s blog. Best part about this shirt: it was free! I say this a lot but thanks mom! Never underestimate the success of a hand-me-down.
I wore this outfit during a little excursion with my roommate to Snow Hill, MD. There are so many beautiful Victorian styled homes around this small town. My roommate and I are trying to adventure around the Eastern Shore at least once a week because now graduation is only a month away *ahhh*.

Gingham Top and Scalloped Pants
Fun fact: I officially have a big girl job after college! The wonderful company I’ve been interning for these past 2 years offered me a position to be their Digital Content and Marketing Coordinator full time! I don’t feel comfortable sharing the name of the company here on the blog, but just know I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. Everyone threw me a celebration potluck last summer when I could finally eat solid foods again. Its a women owned, women run business and I am so happy to be joining the team full time.
My office is literally 9 minutes from my house so I’ll be moving back in with my parents, which I’m actually really excited about too! I start work a week after I graduate so I know I’ll be spending a lot of time at my office really soon. Our dress code is business casual but we’re not allowed to wear jeans (learned that the hard way…), so I’ve been looking for really cute business casual outfits. I’ll probably post more office outfits when I actually start work, but for now heres one of my favorite new outfits:
