Etsy Shops & Small Businesses I’m Crushing On

I’ve always love supporting small businesses, but now that spooky szn and cozy szn are here, I may have gone a little overboard with my purchases. I’m excited to show you on the blog everything I got when it all gets here, but I wanted to highlight some stores today so you have time to order things before Halloween. There is just something about buying a product that you know was handmade by someone because it’s their passion project. Personally, I am trying to become more crafty, I’ve been sending more letters and packages to friends and I have been selling a lot of my clothes secondhand. So I know that a lot goes into the personal touches and presentation when packaging something for someone, and all of these products are just so unique. Ac-Cord-ing to You

Pretty sure that I’ll be living in these corduroy pants all of fall. It’s only October 2nd but I don’t know if the weather got the memo that it’s spooky szn/fall now. It’s officially that time of year when you wear a sweater in the morning and then regret it in the afternoon. So if you are having that problem or live in a place that doesn’t fully reach fall temperatures, my recommendation is to invest in corduroy pants. I got these from Gap last year and they go with everything. The warm, burnt orange color is perfect for fall, but I can also pair these pants with a cami and sandals for a more weather appropriate look. I usually reserve these pants for sweater weather, but thought this outfit was great for that time period of when you want it to be fall, but it still feels like summer.

Minty Fresh Dress

Why do I feel like the Orbit girl in this dress? Dirty mouth? Clean it up with Orbit gum! I didn’t even feel that vibe when I wore this dress a few days ago but looking at these pictures now… that is all I’m thinking about. This dress is a rental from Rent the Runway and I’ve had my eye on it all summer. Even though it’s been weirdly chilly on the east coast, and I am very excited for fall, I am not ready to transfer my closet over to sweaters. Especially since it’s supposed to be in the 80s this week. This dress gives me major 1960s vibes (which I don’t normally go for) and I took these pictures while trying to master the middle part (how am I doing?). I wasn’t sure if I would like the mint green color but I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t wash me out like I thought it would and is helping me prepare for the transition from summer to fall, especially with these accessories.

One of my favorite bloggers lately has been Julia Berolzheimer of Gal Meet’s Glam. This photoshoot was very much inspired by her photos and her love of sundresses. If I could steal anyone’s closet, it would totally be hers. I’ve been in such a huge sundress mood lately (since it’s been so outrageously humid in Maryland) and when I saw this one on Rent the Runway, I feel in love! I feel most comfortable in midi dresses and the floral detail and white eyelet lace on this dress are so beautiful. For all my folklore fans out there, I’m pretty sure this is what Betty would have worn in her garden.

It’s finally here! I have seen so many posts on my feeds about the infamous Nordstrom sale. I have gone back and forth trying to decide if I should make a post or not. I definitely feel like this sale can get overhyped, but I’ve bought from this annual sale in the past and have really loved what I got. Part of Your World Vibes

I love taking pictures on the beach. I even bought this ivory pom-pom dress with beach pictures specifically in mind. I get serious “Ariel coming out of the ocean with human legs for the first time” vibes from this dress, especially with the rope belt. Anyone else think so?
