Bored in the house and I’m in the house bored...

I feel a little late making this blog because states are starting to open up again. And whether or not you still abide by stay-at-home and social distancing regulations (which you 1000% should) I get the sense things still won’t go back to normal for a while. So we’re all still going to be in our houses for a while. In case you didn’t know, Kelsea Ballerini just released her third album! Over the last couple of weeks, it has become my new favorite thing to listen to during the day while working from home. It’s also my shower playlist, my sanity walk playlist…basically, I’ve been listening to this album nonstop. How are you doing? No really….how are you actually doing? I think it’s important for all of us to admit that these are pretty hard times right now, and if at most, you’re just continuing to survive each day, that’s a pretty amazing thing. I’ve been social distancing in my house for the last few weeks and I’m getting a little stir crazy. I’m lucky to be in a house with a yard and a dog and 3 other people, but I am missing my friends, going out, going to the gym and even just going to work. So this is post for my girls out there who are recently going through a break-up or are just experiencing a sad heart. And you’re probably tempted to text your ex- or that person who isn’t your ex but pretty much feels like it- right now. But let me tell you! You don’t need to do that. And you really shouldn’t do that. You know why? Because you’re better off. And nothing you say in a desperate text is going to fix anything or the boy himself to make him worthy of trying again. Texting that boy right now will only make you feel disappointed with whatever he does or doesn’t send you make and take away all the progress you’ve worked towards recently to get over him. So if you’re reading this post and your feelings are hurt and heart is broken, I’m about to give you some tough love and somethings you can do to distract yourself so you don’t text your ex.

Now that it’s February, you’ll probably find a ton of people with that love is in the air mindset. Well you won’t find that here on this blog. February is more of my month to get my sh*t together (especially with NFF) and to focus on self improvement. February is definitely not about red roses, heart-shaped chocolate boxes and romantic walks on the beach for me. But just because my dating life is non-existent for the time being, doesn’t mean I’m just going to sit at home and do nothing. I’ve been thinking about my goals for this year, and one thing I really want to work on is my confidence in being alone. So for the rest of the year, I am taking myself out on a date once a month.

So how are those New Years Resolutions coming along? We’re almost through the first month of the year, and I know this is when most people start to weaver. But if you are hoping to still make some positive changes this year or focus your energy on your 2020 goals, making a vision board is fantastic idea for you. It’s been a while since I made a vision board for myself but I still have my old ones hanging around my room. I got the idea for this post by watching one of Brooke Miccio’s videos (click here to watch it) and I think this is such a great concept for starting your year out with intention and goal-getting energy. Plus, I love some arts and crafts. But even if you’re not super artsy, there is still a great option for you below to still create a vision board.
