I would like to apologize to both Speak Now and folklore because they have both been dethroned as my favorite albums since evermore was released. This album has legit been on repeat since the day it came out. You may remember this post of all of the best lyrics to use as captions on folklore. Since evermore is her sister album, here is the sister post to that one! I often struggle with Instagram captions, so when I’m at a loss I usually just go with lyrics. I may have gone a little overboard with this post, just because there are so many lyrics I have such an appreciation for. And even then, I know I must have missed some lyrics. I decided to organize the lyrics of this album in caption categories that can only be described as: 1. vibing, chilling, good mood, cool things, no complaints 2. feeling moody, a little angsty, going through it, not my best day and 3. rip my fucking heart out why don’t you? my heart is shattered, on my sleeve and I want everyone to know it, the world is ending and the only way I can convey that is through Taylor Swift lyrics. So hopefully those descriptions will help you decide on the best evermore lyrics to post to your Instagram.

SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN. Could someone please contact Taylor Swift and ask her to please get her foot off my neck for A SINGLE MOMENT?! She is so so so good to us. ANOTHER ALBUM? ONLY MONTHS AFTER TS8? FOLKLORE’S SISTER?! I was so so so excited for this one. Even though it was a totally random and unexpected drop, I think I was better prepared for this one because I had gotten so used to folklore. The night the album came out I hosted a Zoom party where we all watched and listened to the Youtube lyrics videos. We stayed up until like 3am but it was so fun! And like I’ve done for Lover and folklore, here are my predictions, first thoughts and current thoughts on each song.

Let’s pretend for a moment that we are in fact not in the middle of a pandemic. Let’s pretend Taylor has decided to do Loverfest in 2021 the exact way she planned it for 2020. But after those shows are all done, Taylor plans and advertises a world-wide series of concerts in smaller venues that go from late summer through the fall. Imagine it’s more of an acoustic set overall with an intimate vibe within an arena (not in a stadium). No crazy stages, no elaborate props, no dancers or aerialists. Just Taylor and her band. Can you picture it? I certainly can. Which is why I made this blog post about my imaginary folklore Fest concert.

This vision is all made up completely from my imagination and from watching all of Taylor’s previous tours over the years. I am honestly doubtful anything like this would happen anytime soon. We’re in a pandemic that doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon for America, but also because Taylor is such a fantastic performer and puts on such incredible stadium performances. She could be seen as too big to just do smaller arena tours again with not as many bells and whistles. But I know so many fans would love to see her perform in this way. So while we have no idea what the next few years will look like, a girl can dream. And in my wildest dreams, this is what folklore Fest looks like.

The utter surprise and joy I felt last Thursday morning when Taylor started dropping 12 Instagram photos in a row. A NEW ALBUM?! NOW? I didn’t have time to emotionally prepare. But now that it’s been a week, I have finally been able to process the album and do some research. This is not a review, as much as me just sharing my ‘Kim Thoughts’ before the album came out, right after the album came out, and now a week later.
