Fun Fact: I just completed my 2023 GoodReads Reading Goal! 60/60 books done on October 18th. I would like to thank my book club and the Libby app for this wonderful achievement. I don’t know how you feel about counting audiobooks for this goal (if you didn’t already guess, I absolutely do) and I’ve been listening to a TON of audiobooks lately while I WFH and go on walks. I must be blessed by the Libby Gods, because most of these audiobooks have been spooky rom com books. What could be better for October? I love spooky season, but I do not like gore or horror. That being said, I wanted to make this post about 10 spooky (not scary) books that you can read this month to really get in the Halloween spirit!

I read 63 books in 2022! How wild is that?! I truthfully do not remember reading about 1/3 of these books, but I’m sure if I looked up the endings I would remember. You can find all of this information on my Goodreads account, but I also wanted to make a full list on my blog. This is a friendly reminder to add me on Goodreads, if we’re not already friends on Goodreads. This is also a friendly reminder that this is not a complete list of the books I read this year, but some books are just for me to enjoy and you to never find out about 🙂 I have elected not to share my full reviews and thoughts on each of these books, which is why I keep pitching my Goodreads account.

June-August = summer reading months! There are so many great books I can’t wait to read this summer. I’m both parts stressing out how many books I want to read and super excited! I’ve gotten so many recommendations from Tiktok and Goodreads. (If we’re not already friends on Goodreads, we totally should be!) I will be very surprised if I make it through this list but I am definitely willing to try. I will be at the beach and on an airplane for most of this summer so I hope that will give me ample time!

Happy Valentine’s Day ladies! I just had a lovely Galentine’s Day over the weekend and am going to see John Waters at Sound Stage tonight! So while a single girl like me can keep herself busy on the most romantic day of the year, my ideal V-Day would be spent with my favorite book boyfriends. In 2021, I really got into romance novels and I am so glad I did! I have literally so many recommendations, but here are 14 light-hearted romance novels with happy endings (and maybe a little spice).

I am so proud of myself for how many books I read in 2021! I completely blew my goal out of the water!Be sure to check out this post of the books I read this year when I completed my 2021 Goodreads challenge back in August. Here is my year review off of GoodReads with the complete list of every book I read in 2021. In case you don’t have a GoodReads, here are the rest of the books I read this year.
Read More >>Evelyn Hugo Halloween Costume
Back in September when I was on my way to Colorado, I finished reading “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid on the plane. And I cried my eyes out! I swear- I have never been so thankful for mandatory mask mandate. I am such an ugly crier and could not control myself. I loved this book so much- I knew I wanted to dress up as Evelyn for Halloween. She is iconic for her green dress and platinum hair. While I’m definitely not platinum and this dress is a little darker than the book described, I was able to put this costume and photoshoot together by only purchasing one thing- the gloves! Here are more pictures and how you can pull off an Evelyn Hugo costume.

We did it! Or I guess I did it…I completed my GoodReads 2021 Book Challenge. I first downloaded GoodReads at the beginning of 2020. Surprisingly enough, I did not complete my 2020 Book Challenge, but I definitely developed a huge reading bag last winter and started listening to audiobooks like crazy. You can imagine my surprise when I finished my 2021 Book Challenge 5 months early!? Go Kim! I’d like to thank my book club and the Libby App. I wanted to give a short recap of every book I read in the challenge and also tell you to follow me on GoodReads! If you want more detailed reviews of these books, that is where you will find it.
Read More >>What I Read This Summer
I don’t think I’ve ever read this many books in such a short time. I have talked before about how I don’t make reading a priority so I rarely ever read. But that changed after I joined my friend’s book club. And it has been so fun! I have been loving my virtual book discussions and I’ve finished every book assigned since we went virtual, even if it was minutes before the book club. And because I’ve been in such a reading groove lately, I’ve also read a bunch of books that are not a part of our book club that I want to share.

A personal goal I’ve had for years is to read more books. I absolutely love reading but I definitely don’t make it a priority. But as you can see from the pile of books in the picture above, I really need to get my act together and start reading more. Thankfully, there are a few new factors in my life that will push me towards my goal and I’ve listed then (as well as my current reading list) below.
Read More >>Grace Kelly Recreation + 3 Historical Fiction Books
I have wanted to do this recreation for so long! One of my favorite kinds of recreations to do is old vintage pictures so naturally any pictures of Grace Kelly are 1. worth appreciating and 2. worth while trying to recreate. If you don’t know the original picture I’m talking about, scroll down! In this post I also included three historical fiction books I found at the Bethany Beach Books Store when I was at the beach last week. Historical fiction is definitely my favorite genre and although I’ve only started one of these books, I’m excited for all three and wanted to share. They seem like very easy, light reads so if you are into historical fiction like me, scroll down to see what I’m reading!
