Truth be told: the only thing I want to put on my body when it gets insanely hot out is a festive summer sundress. Lately I’ve been really in love with midi dresses, because I think they look great on my tall frame. So here is a dump-post of some of the summer sundresses I have my eye on at Free People, J.Crew, Target and H&M.

I want to know two things: what is your favorite color? Do you wear your favorite color most often? Since I was in 1st grade, my favorite color has always been lavender. That is the color I asked my parents to paint my childhood bedroom and ever since, every time I see it out in the wild or in a store, I obsess over it. It makes me happy! I’m sure there is some psych explanation for our favorite color. Surprisingly enough, I don’t own a lot of lavender (I guess my closet color palette is more neutral/preppy than my favorite color would let on). But lately I have been renting this color a whole bunch or saving this color for a special occasion. As the summer progresses and I get the bug to spend some money, my eyes always wander to the lavender pieces in an online store. And I wanted to share some of those with you in this post! So here are some of my favorite outfits that feature my favorite color, and a few lavender pieces I have my eye on to purchase.

Does this outfit make me look an expensive, preppy, off-duty tennis star in the Hamptons? That’s what I was going for, so I hope so! The best part of this outfit is that almost everything I’m wearing is either thrifted or given to me by my mom from her closet. I swear, our moms’s closets are treasure chests of trendy goodies. I’m very set on dressing in preppy athletic wear this summer, so here is my first go at it. I hope this outfit makes me look like I’m an off-duty golf star who drives a convertible through Nantucket (or something close to that).

Since I just moved into my first apartment, I have been scouring Pinterest to get some decor inspo. I have a bunch of ideas but have been struggling to pinpoint exactly what I need to buy. I’m hoping to thrift a bunch of items and pick up some things from an antique shop. I’ve also been trying to purchase from small businesses on Etsy. Here are a few items that I have my eye on and some basic interior design ideas I’m thinking about.

Ahh the sweet, sweet smell of independence. And having to fend for myself. During my first week of officially sleeping and working in my new apartment, I decided to document everything I cooked for myself. I’m definitely not the greatest cook and I’m lazy at heart when it comes to food, but I was actually pretty healthy this week. If you’re a lazy cook like I am, check out some of these super easy recipes that did not cost me a lot of money to make. Each recipe probably took 20 minutes at most and I was proud of myself for being creative with what I had in the house. I didn’t go out to eat during the week (with the exception of the ice cream you see above) so let’s celebrate that! Check out the easy meals I made for myself during the first week I spent in my apartment.

GOOD MORNING BALTIMOREEEEEEEE
I am so excited to announce I am officially a Baltimore resident. After a few months of looking up apartments, budgeting and saving up some money, I have officially moved out from my parent’s house. After 3 years of living at my home after graduating college, I decided it was finally time to move out. Who saw that coming? Because I certainly didn’t. At least not this soon. As I am typing this now I am currently sitting on my couch in my own apartment! I know I know…I said I was going to hold out a little longer. But sometimes you know… when it’s time to go.

I have been meaning to make this post for months but life has totally gotten away from me. This is a very detailed life update and something very personal. But what’s the point of having a blog if I can’t share my life decisions on here? In March I decided to switch from the pill to an IUD. The decision came after months of research and weaning myself off of the pill. This post is not a medical journal. I am not your doctor. I like to share my opinions and make recommendations on my blog, but I feel very uncomfortable trying to do that with this post. You can take my account as a reference if you’re considering birth control options for yourself, but I will always say that you need to take the professional and medical advice of your doctor over anything I say in this post. Okay… now that we got that out of the way, let’s get into it.

Sending you a very tired and burned-out ‘hello’ from a girl who cannot catch a break when it comes to her 9-5 job. In the last 6 weeks, things have been so crazy busy with work and I’ve also been trying to adjust to some new organization changes within my company. When my work life gets hectic, I tend to drop off the face of the earth, especially on social media. Thankfully things have calmed down, but if there was one thing that gets me by during a time of corporate chaos… it’s looking like I have my shit together even if I do. I rented this bright pink blazer suit from Rent the Runway (my discount code is below!) and it was the most subtle and important move I made for myself during the last few weeks.
Since I’ve been working from home for over a year, I have gotten so lazy in my WFH outfits. I will literally roll out of bed at 8:30am, sit in front of my computer and start answering emails in my ratty pajamas. Then I won’t actually put on deodorant or change into real clothes until my lunch break at 1pm. Since I really had to up my game for my job in the last few weeks, I needed something that made me feel like boss bitch… but with not at lot of effort that would take me away from the work I needed to do. So the power blazer was a hit and I highly recommend. It’s giving major “Samantha Jones from Sex and the City” vibes and for that we are thankful. Give me strength Samantha! Similar blazers and the rest of my outfit details are linked below.

In honor of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) being released, I wanted to share a Kimberkopy project I did last summer, but never got around to posting. Honestly, the timing for this couldn’t be more perfect since I am just a big ball of nostalgia these days.
I love how for each era, Taylor has a very distinct style that reflects the vibe of the album. I was 13 when the original Fearless dropped in 2008. Back then, Taylor was such a style icon to not just me but every other teenage girl. (We really thought we were something huh?) Last year during quarantine, it became a fun game for me to thrift articles of clothing that Taylor has worn in the past, but in my size. I’m especially proud of this post because of all of the “Taylor Swift Style Exact” items I found online.
Here’s my Fearless Era Candid series. I hope these outfits give you as many flashbacks as the re-recorded songs do.
