2021 GoodReads Reading Challenge

We did it! Or I guess I did it…I completed my GoodReads 2021 Book Challenge. I first downloaded GoodReads at the beginning of 2020. Surprisingly enough, I did not complete my 2020 Book Challenge, but I definitely developed a huge reading bag last winter and started listening to audiobooks like crazy. You can imagine my surprise when I finished my 2021 Book Challenge 5 months early!? Go Kim! I’ll be the first to say I am a HUGE Meredith Blake fan. I have wanted to do this KimberKopy for so long! The Parent Trap has always been one of my favorite movies. And recently, I feel like there is a cultural revelation for women my age who are starting to think “hmm… maybe Meredith a some point”. After all, she was only 26! Maybe she wasn’t the villain? Because if I had the option, to live with a handsome millionaire in Napa, I would!- twins be damned. She is an inspirational queen to this generation of women! My Favorite Color: Lavender

I want to know two things: what is your favorite color? Do you wear your favorite color most often? Since I was in 1st grade, my favorite color has always been lavender. That is the color I asked my parents to paint my childhood bedroom and ever since, every time I see it out in the wild or in a store, I obsess over it. It makes me happy! I’m sure there is some psych explanation for our favorite color. Surprisingly enough, I don’t own a lot of lavender (I guess my closet color palette is more neutral/preppy than my favorite color would let on). But lately I have been renting this color a whole bunch or saving this color for a special occasion. As the summer progresses and I get the bug to spend some money, my eyes always wander to the lavender pieces in an online store. And I wanted to share some of those with you in this post! Dressing Like an Expensive Prepster

Does this outfit make me look an expensive, preppy, off-duty tennis star in the Hamptons? That’s what I was going for, so I hope so! The best part of this outfit is that almost everything I’m wearing is either thrifted or given to me by my mom from her closet. I swear, our moms’s closets are treasure chests of trendy goodies. 5 Days of Meals: First Week in My New Apartment

Ahh the sweet, sweet smell of independence. And having to fend for myself. During my first week of officially sleeping and working in my new apartment, I decided to document everything I cooked for myself. I’m definitely not the greatest cook and I’m lazy at heart when it comes to food, but I was actually pretty healthy this week. If you’re a lazy cook like I am, check out some of these super easy recipes that did not cost me a lot of money to make. Each recipe probably took 20 minutes at most and I was proud of myself for being creative with what I had in the house. I didn’t go out to eat during the week (with the exception of the ice cream you see above) so let’s celebrate that! Life Update: I Moved Out!

GOOD MORNING BALTIMOREEEEEEEE

I am so excited to announce I am officially a Baltimore resident. After a few months of looking up apartments, budgeting and saving up some money, I have officially moved out from my parent’s house. After 3 years of living at my home after graduating college, I decided it was finally time to move out. Who saw that coming? Because I certainly didn’t. At least not this soon. As I am typing this now I am currently sitting on my couch in my own apartment! I know I know…I said I was going to hold out a little longer. But sometimes you know… when it’s time to go.
