I love taking pictures on the beach. I even bought this ivory pom-pom dress with beach pictures specifically in mind. I get serious “Ariel coming out of the ocean with human legs for the first time” vibes from this dress, especially with the rope belt. Anyone else think so? Look Ma! This tan didn’t come from a bottle!
This week I am at the beach with my family in Bethany Beach, DE. This is my ONE vacation I get this year because it is the most COVID compliant thing I can do. My family is doing our best to keep social distance from strangers and wear masks when out in public. This vacation is definitely not like our usual beach stays, but that is not a completely terrible thing. I wasn’t able to take off work because of the whole “in a global pandemic’ thing, so I’ve also been staying inside and working for most of the week. It’s been pretty nice to just have a change of scenery and get to spend time with my family after work. The weather has been a little wonky but there have been a few good days and I was able to get some sun! I rented a few pieces from Rent the Runway for this trip, which is where I got this top I’m wearing in these pics!

The utter surprise and joy I felt last Thursday morning when Taylor started dropping 12 Instagram photos in a row. A NEW ALBUM?! NOW? I didn’t have time to emotionally prepare. But now that it’s been a week, I have finally been able to process the album and do some research. This is not a review, as much as me just sharing my ‘Kim Thoughts’ before the album came out, right after the album came out, and now a week later. I would have been at Loverfest West last weekend, and Loverfest East this weekend. How upsetting is that?! If it weren’t for this global pandemic thing, I would be having the time of my life screaming my lungs out to ‘Cruel Summer’. But alas, that is not happening. Honestly, I’m a little doubtful it will happen next year too. But even though it’s not happening this year, I still wanted to share this post. If there is one thing I’m sure about in these “unprecedented times” it’s that masks are here to stay. I don’t really leave the house unless it is for shopping or some outdoor activity and I always bring a mask with me. Here in Maryland, masks are required in all businesses and outdoor public areas. I know for certain this is not the case in other states, but it’s my personal opinion it should be. And it just so happens the CDC thinks so too. Who among you reading this is not aware of the fact that I have been both over the moon and emotionally hit with a semi-truck in the last few days? Taylor Swift announced on Thursday she was dropping TS8 at midnight. It was a total surprise (even to me). Don’t we love a fun, summer sundress? From what I can tell for the last few years, patterns with fruits have been really in. I know lemons was a huge thing during the spring, and I guess with this post, I’m trying to make peaches a thing. Who doesn’t love a sweet Georgia peach? I actually picked out this dress because I love the color combo of orange, yellow and teal. I finally gave Glossier products a try. For years I’ve wanted to try these products because I’ve always been a fan of the minimalist make-up look for myself. It could also stem from just laziness when it came to make-up, but who knows? I wasn’t sure how I would like the ‘dewey’ make-up look which is definitely the vibe for most of Glossier’s products.
