Do you ever see a super outrageous or out-there fashion piece and think omg I have to have it? Well that is exactly what I was thinking the moment I laid eyes on a pink faux fur leopard coat. First I saw one on Luca & Grae but I was able to resist buying it because at the time, my budget did not allow for it. But I’m so glad I held off because I was able to find this coat on Rent the Runway! Which was much more cost efficient for me. Honestly I love the bold statement this coat makes, but I know I have a problem when it comes to buying coats so I need to get more in the habit of renting or borrowing. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I think I’m making it a tradition to post a Blank Space recreation every year on Valentine’s Day. Last year when I did this recreation, I think it was the first time I actually bought an entire costume and props just for a recreation. And in just a year we have come a long way! So this is post for my girls out there who are recently going through a break-up or are just experiencing a sad heart. And you’re probably tempted to text your ex- or that person who isn’t your ex but pretty much feels like it- right now. But let me tell you! You don’t need to do that. And you really shouldn’t do that. You know why? Because you’re better off. And nothing you say in a desperate text is going to fix anything or the boy himself to make him worthy of trying again. Texting that boy right now will only make you feel disappointed with whatever he does or doesn’t send you make and take away all the progress you’ve worked towards recently to get over him. So if you’re reading this post and your feelings are hurt and heart is broken, I’m about to give you some tough love and somethings you can do to distract yourself so you don’t text your ex.

Spoiler alert: I don’t have a date for Friday night, but I do have an outfit. Don’t worry I’m not heartbroken about it, mainly because I get to share this outfit here on the blog. I rented this dress from Rent the Runway but definitely feel like I could wear very often if I bought it. I sized up because it does run a little small but sleeves, deep v front and extra fabric hanging from the waist, I realized this would be a great dress for a Valentine’s Day dinner date… IF ONLY I HAD ONE. So this may sound weird, but I am obsessed with textured clothing. Wait…that’s not weird. Oh. Saying “I like wearing clothes with material that encourages people to feel me” is weird. But honestly, who doesn’t?! I rented this gorgeous midi dress above from Rent the Runway and I am so in love with it. From the lace detail, the sheer sleeves, midi skirt length and super detailed embroidery, this dress is a dream. But as you can see from the pile of books in the picture above, I really need to get my act together and start reading more. Now that it’s February, you’ll probably find a ton of people with that love is in the air mindset. Well you won’t find that here on this blog. February is more of my month to get my sh*t together (especially with NFF) and to focus on self improvement. February is definitely not about red roses, heart-shaped chocolate boxes and romantic walks on the beach for me. But just because my dating life is non-existent for the time being, doesn’t mean I’m just going to sit at home and do nothing. I’ve been thinking about my goals for this year, and one thing I really want to work on is my confidence in being alone. So for the rest of the year, I am taking myself out on a date once a month.
