Merry Christmas August May Who! I’m afraid I do have something for you. Your ring back. I’m sorry. But my heart belongs to…someone else.

Merry Christmas everyone! It is legit Christmas morning as I’m finishing up this blog post before I head downstairs to eat breakfast with the fam and open some presents. This is my last Kimberkopy for the Christmas season and I am so excited to share it. I have spent so much time working on this and planning this and I love how these turned out. In case you didn’t already know, the 2000 Grinch movie is my favorite Christmas movie and I wanted to recreate one of Martha’s looks for such a long time. DIY Grinch Sweater

Q: How many times is it acceptable to watch “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” this holiday season? A: The limit does not exist. The Jim Carrey version of the Grinch is my absolute favorite movie! I swear I’ve watched it at least 30 times this month just because it just brings me so much joy. Because I watch it so much, of course I had to do a KimberKopy for it (but very much a DIY…which is very obvious). Details on how I made this sweater are below!

J.Crew Plaid Skirt

Oh look, another Christmas-y look that features plaid. Who would have thought?! I’m really liked dressing for the holidays the past few weeks, especially since I’ve been so busy with work. Even if my headspace can’t be focused on Christmas at the moment, at least my outfit is. This adorable J.Crew skirt caught my eye very early on this season. I love a good plaid skirt in the fall/winter and this one in particular has some lace on it too! I took these photos in the rain over the weekend in front of one of my favorite local stories, Sweet Elizabeth Jane. If you live around Old Ellicott City, I 100% recommend checking out this adorable boutique. Just look at their window display behind me in these pics, and you can see how all out they go for the holidays.

Red Tartan Pants

I’m so plaid I have these pants for the holidays! Okay, I know I make that pun a lot but it’s so effortless and it turns out I own a lot of plaid. I probably could have participated in Kelly‘s #60DaysofPlaid on Instagram if I really tried. One kind of plaid I’ve been loving in particular lately is red tartan. These pants were on sale at J.Crew Factory a few weeks ago and I love wearing them, especially to work. More pictures and links to these pants below!

Black Tartan Coat

A trend that I am just in love with this season is plaid coats. You probably remember this post from earlier in November, but my admiration for long plaid coats knows no bounds. I’ve been checking out the selection from Rent the Runway to help spice up my wardrobe this month without breaking the bank. Something I can always expect for any birthday or any holiday is something from Kate Spade. Kate Spade has always been one of my favorite brands since I was a teenager, and my love for everything Kate Spade has only grown over the years. When I was preparing some holiday content and checking out some options on Rent the Runway, I found this gorgeous red holiday dress and have never pressed an order button quicker. Finding this dress inspired me to make a whole gift guide on everything Kate Spade that I have fallen in love with this season. Lover Music Video Recreation

So I’ve been sitting on these pictures for a few weeks now, but was waiting to share them. In honor of Taylor Swift’s 30th birthday today, I recreated a few scenes from her Lover music video. I have a feeling she’s going to drop a new single soon, so I’m glad I got these done before then. SHE’S 30 TODAY I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. I could honestly go on and on about Taylor’s birthday, but I really don’t have the time to convey that right now. She just won artist of the decade for Billboard and at the AMAs and I am so proud of her. SO WELL DESERVED. But back to these photos: I used Photoshop for the first time on a few of these! I’m not a pro at either Photoshop or Lightroom, but hey I got it done, right? I also didn’t have to spend a ton of money on these looks because I either borrowed, thrifted, rented or already had all of these pieces. So that’s a personal accomplishment as well. Disco Chic

I love sequins in December. Actually I like sequins any day of the year, but especially during the holidays. Maybe because it’s most socially acceptable…but I think mainly because there are so many sequin and glitter options at stores in prep for holiday parties and New Years Eve. I probably wouldn’t wear this outfit for NYE this year because I’m hoping to go all 1920’s/Gatsby-ish.But I rented this top from Rent the Runway and I think it’s a great going out top for the month of December. I’m feeling very 70’s disco in this outfit, which is not my preferred decade but I’m vibing with it. Hope you like!
