Something I can always expect for any birthday or any holiday is something from Kate Spade. Kate Spade has always been one of my favorite brands since I was a teenager, and my love for everything Kate Spade has only grown over the years. When I was preparing some holiday content and checking out some options on Rent the Runway, I found this gorgeous red holiday dress and have never pressed an order button quicker. Finding this dress inspired me to make a whole gift guide on everything Kate Spade that I have fallen in love with this season. Lover Music Video Recreation

So I’ve been sitting on these pictures for a few weeks now, but was waiting to share them. In honor of Taylor Swift’s 30th birthday today, I recreated a few scenes from her Lover music video. I have a feeling she’s going to drop a new single soon, so I’m glad I got these done before then. SHE’S 30 TODAY I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. I could honestly go on and on about Taylor’s birthday, but I really don’t have the time to convey that right now. She just won artist of the decade for Billboard and at the AMAs and I am so proud of her. SO WELL DESERVED. But back to these photos: I used Photoshop for the first time on a few of these! I’m not a pro at either Photoshop or Lightroom, but hey I got it done, right? I also didn’t have to spend a ton of money on these looks because I either borrowed, thrifted, rented or already had all of these pieces. So that’s a personal accomplishment as well. What I’m Asking For This Christmas

Disco Chic

I love sequins in December. Actually I like sequins any day of the year, but especially during the holidays. Maybe because it’s most socially acceptable…but I think mainly because there are so many sequin and glitter options at stores in prep for holiday parties and New Years Eve. I probably wouldn’t wear this outfit for NYE this year because I’m hoping to go all 1920’s/Gatsby-ish.But I rented this top from Rent the Runway and I think it’s a great going out top for the month of December. I’m feeling very 70’s disco in this outfit, which is not my preferred decade but I’m vibing with it. Hope you like!

Gifts For Your Friend Who Just Moved Out

My intention with this gift guide is that you would give any one of these things to a friend who just moved out, but already has all the essentials to live on their own. After all, you wouldn’t want to give a friend some Lemon Pledge, a shelf or Clorox, and call that a present, right? Even if they need that, be a better friend this season. Plaid On The Polar Express

Am I the only person who didn’t know how much people hate The Polar Express? I don’t know if this has always been the case or if it’s a new general hatred, but so many of my friends have gone out of their way to tell me how much they hate this movie. How funny is that?! I really don’t mind the movie to be honest. It’s not my favorite but I do have a fond memory of watching it back in like 2004 at my Oma and Opa’s house on an air mattress with my brothers at like 10pm on Christmas. So maybe that is why it gives me happy thoughts! Regardless of how you feel about the Polar Express, I took these pictures in front of the B&O Railroad museum in Old Ellicott City on a very rainy day and I love how they turned out.
