Clearwater, it’s pretty clear that I love you. In celebration of completing Marathon Month at Orange Theory and running my best time ever for a half marathon, I took a quick weekend trip to Clearwater, Florida with Allison. We wanted to take a trip that involved nothing except beach, good food and sunshine. Obviously Florida is the place to go! I had never been to Clearwater but I can honestly say its one of my favorite beaches now. Here is a brief travel guide to what we did!

Ever buy something that just brings you so much joy? That’s how I feel about this dress. I’m pretty sure Lulu’s offered it a few years ago and I’m so glad it’s back! It’s super comfortable and you don’t have to wear a bra with it, which you know I love. I just know I’ll be wearing it all summer. You may be able to tell from these pictures that I’m wearing my old Rainbow flip flops that are literally falling apart. Other shoes would have made this outfit a little more put together, but I was at the beach and lazy and doing a lot of walking. I also got a horrible sunburn on my chest and forehead when I took these so I hope these pictures give you quintessential beachy vibes.

Does this dress make my sunburn look bad? I sure hope not. This past weekend I took a short trip to Clearwater, Florida to get some much needed rest and sunshine…but I may have overdone it on the sunshine. Regardless, Clearwater is such a great beach town and I had such an amazing time. I’ll post a big trip recap later, but I did want to share this Vici dress with you now because it’s available for presale! If you know me, you know I love stripes so I know I’ll be wearing this dress all summer. Details below!

This month… has completely exhausted me. I have known since January that I was going to run my second half marathon at the end of April, but what I hadn’t planned on then was that I would also be running a total of 26.2 miles this month at Orange Theory. I thought this month would be easy and carefree… but ugh was I wrong. Here’s how this month went:

I have been a very bad blogger lately. For a couple weeks there I was doing pretty good with writing and promoting a lot of content…but as of late, life has really pushed blogging to the back burner. This happens every once in a while! That being said, I wanted to give you a little update on what I’ve been up to and what I’m excited about in the next few weeks.

If you see me trying to buy more shoes anytime soon, stop me! Lately I have been purchasing so many different shoes whether they’re for running, work or just casual outings. My life has turned into that ancient Youtube video that goes “shoes. oh my gosh shoes”. Do you know the one? Plot twist: its just me in that video. That being said, here is my latest shoe guide for spring! I unfortunately don’t own all of these (yet) but that could change at any minute because a lot of these are on sale!

It’s graduation season, which also means that it is graduation PHOTO season. I think I took over 10,000 photos (collectively) of people at my school last year. Graduation photos are a great way to countdown to being done with school, celebrating your college journey and looking forward to what is next in your life. After spending probably too much of my last semester of college following people around with my camera, getting glitter and champagne all over myself and my camera, and making enough money to pay for an entire post-graduation cruise, I wanted to share my top tips for taking the best graduation photos, as well as a bunch of photos I’m really proud of/really like. I hope everyone I took pictures of is cool with the fact I’m using them in this post. I think you all look fabulous!
So here are some of my favorite pictures I took last year, as well as some classic poses to spark some inspiration, instructions on how to take certain pictures, and overall tips to make your graduation photos the best they can be!

Would you even be surprised if I told you that the first thought I have when I see this quote is Taylor Swift? A few years back she wrote down a “daily reminders” list for this one fan to remember and some variation of this quote was at the top of the list. And not only is that great advice, but if Taylor Swift has to remind herself of that, you know its a real problem. I’m constantly on social media and I always find myself comparing what I’m doing or how I’m doing to the random strangers I follow. That being said, I wanted to share some thoughts on the subject.

A few weeks ago I was in DC (shocker) for happy hour at the Wharf. You may not see it in these photos, but I was so cold. It was freezing! But the show must go on and golden hour is the absolutely best time to take pictures. Up next in my “going out outfit” series is this shirt that I have had my eye on for years! It’s from Lulu’s and between you and me, it makes my boobs look really good it’s a super flattering top! I’ve always loved sheer/mesh panels on shirts so that is another reason I love this shirt. Fun fact: I got this jacket in high school for like $13! Ever since it’s my go-to going out jacket because it basically goes with everything and makes me look edgier than I am. For the links to what I’m wearing, and to get a feel for how much I look taking pictures at golden hour, click the “read more” button below!
Pink Striped Shirt
Ever go to DC the weekend before the cherry blossoms show up? Just me? Cool. At least my shirt looks like it belongs among the cherry blossoms. I’m kicking myself for not going a weekend later to be able to see them in full bloom, but I did see a few pink trees when I went a few weeks ago. So in the spirit of the cherry blossoms, check out this pink shirt (currently on sale)!
