This is something I have been thinking about for a while. Originally I wrote “this year” in the title, but I really hope I can give it up completely and forever. One of my best friends, Emily, gave up Amazon last year and I was so inspired by her that I had to give it a try. It is strange to think that I need to or even want to explain this decision, but I have a lot of thoughts about this and wanted to spill some ink about it below. Before you disagree with what I am saying, I hope you read this entire thing.

I guess technically I named them my “champagne goals” but I like the idea that each one of these things is a “problem” that I get to cheers to this year. And yes, technically I got Prosecco to drink, but I am a big La Marca girlie. I was inspired to do this after watching a video on TikTok. I love drinking some bubbly and celebrating accomplishments, so I figured this would be a good way to ensure I actually work for my goals. I made this small list of 9 things I’d like to accomplish myself this year. I’d like to thank my best friend, Taylor, for coming to Baltimore and helping me with this little project.

I read 63 books in 2022! How wild is that?! I truthfully do not remember reading about 1/3 of these books, but I’m sure if I looked up the endings I would remember. You can find all of this information on my Goodreads account, but I also wanted to make a full list on my blog. This is a friendly reminder to add me on Goodreads, if we’re not already friends on Goodreads. This is also a friendly reminder that this is not a complete list of the books I read this year, but some books are just for me to enjoy and you to never find out about 🙂 I have elected not to share my full reviews and thoughts on each of these books, which is why I keep pitching my Goodreads account.

I am starting a new thing of quarterly goals. You can read my general intentions for 2023 in this post, but I also wanted to be more specific in my goals and actually motivate myself to get sh*t done in the beginning of the year! So here are some attainable goals I’d like to do in Q1 of 2023 (January-March).

I have been keeping a running list in my phone of things I am happy I did in 2022. Maybe this post was also inspired by the “2022 Eras” trend that I saw on Tiktok (and yes I made a video for). I could sit here and think of all of my resolutions I made at the start of this year and check off everything I did or didn’t do. But honestly, that makes me feel like a failure. I know I didn’t hit every goal, but that does not mean I did not have a fantastic year. I am both pleased and proud of the year I had and wanted to share some key changes I noticed.

Happy (almost) New Year Friends! I love a clean slate. And yes, things don’t magically change at the start of a new year, but I am a very goal oriented person. I like making lists and crossing them off. In the past I used to not make resolutions, but I decided to make a bunch this year because I love the feeling of crossing something off a to-do list. I have a list in my phone titled “2023 is the year I…” where I have been writing down random ideas and thoughts since November. So here is that list with a bit more explanation.

The end of 2022 has finally arrived, so I get to make my favorite blog posts! I love reflecting and looking back on the year. One thing I’ve noticed with my shopping habits this year was that I was much more intentional with what I was buying. There were months where I wasn’t shopping for any clothes or ‘fun’ items, just so I could continue to travel and go out with my friends. I’m not saying that is a bad thing, I just think it’s a lot different from my previous spending habits of 2019 and 2020 when I didn’t have to pay rent.

As they say in the song…you done me wrong
Merry Christmas everyone! It is time for my annual Christmas #Kimberkopy. In the past few year’s I’ve done Martha May Whovier and Cousin Eddy, but this recreation was a year in the making after my Aunt B texted me an idea last year on Christmas Eve. You can find the text message she sent me below! It’s only been recent that I watched ‘White Christmas’ for the first time and Netflix made that easy. There are probably 4 outfits I would love to recreate from this iconic movie, but for now we will stick with Rosemary Clooney’s “Love You Didn’t Do Right By Me” scene. My aunt told me she sees a resemblance between me and Ms. Clooney (which is a lovely compliment) but I don’t really see it. That being said, I am so proud of how this recreation turned out and I hope you enjoy these photos.

Turkey hat not included.
I have to admit, I am feeling a little late for the Thanksgiving outfit content (especially if you were planning on buying any of this), but I hope this post can provide you with some inspiration regardless! I would wear any of these outfits to Thanksgiving dinner, but I am leaning towards one in particular. Hope this post gives you an idea for what you can wear on Turkey Day!

Sorry, the earrings above were a gift from my best friend, Kayla. But I like to use my own photos for cover shots.
To keep up with my on-going “trend alerts”, I wanted to make a small guide of all of the holiday earrings I am currently loving. So many of these are already in my shopping cart. Even if you don’t buy them for yourself, you can bet they also many great gifts!
