Polka Dot NYE Dress


Happy New Year’s Eve! Spoiler Alert: I’m getting drunk tonight. I’m also gonna wear a dress and some heels and ringing in 2019 with some of my best friends. Currently I’m watching the Reputation Tour on Netflix and crying my eyes out. Thankfully I can still see my keyboard so I can share these pictures I took with one of my best friends, Ashley, the other night when we were bored and wanted to play dress up. I hope you get some mad NYE vibes from this post. I got the inspiration for these pictures when I was on Pinterest looking up NYE photos and a lot of 60s disco pics kept coming up. Can you believe Christmas is on Tuesday? I’ve been working all week so it honestly feels so far away! Emerald Sequin Dress

New Years Eve is one of my favorite holidays just based on the notion that it is the most socially acceptable holiday to wear glitter. Most years I don’t even have decisive plans before I buy an outfit. That was the case this year when I bought this dress from Lulu’s on Black Friday. You can probably already tell how much I love this green color this season so I really couldn’t resist buying this shimmery, sparkly dress. I’m so glad this dress matches up with the plans that I made after I bought it!

Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookie Recipe

So I’ve been living off of nothing buy Christmas cookies for the past week and a half, but I’ve also been drinking a lot of Kombucha and green tea so I’m pretty sure it evens out…right?

Her family just redid their kitchen and their house is mega decorated for Christmas so it was a magical time. Burgundy Swiss Dot Dress

As someone who works 40 hours a week and is required to wear business casual 80% of the time (shout out to Yoga Monday where I get to wear yoga pants to work),  I’m always on the hunt for versatile clothes that I can wear to work and on the weekends when I’m adventuring with friends. So when I find dresses like this, I snatch them up as quickly as possible. I’ve been able to wear this dress to work with some loafers and to a holiday party with these over-the-knee boots. I also wore this exact outfit to see Anastasia at the Hippodrome in Baltimore the other day with Allison (and the show was spectacular btw). I can already tell this dress is going to get a lot of wear in the next few weeks before Christmas!

Green A-Line Dress

Do you have an article of clothing that hangs in your closet for 364 days, just waiting for that one day when you can finally wear it? For me, that is this dress. Christmas Eve Service Dress Guide

One of the earliest Christmas memories is my family and I have is going to Christmas Eve service at my church. For years we have helped out with the service and I always look forward to seeing familiar faces and all the adorable little babies dressed up. I myself love dressing to the nines for any occasion, but I think dressing up for Christmas Eve and going to church requires a certain kind of dress that is both conservative and classy.
