Day 9: 13 Posts of Halloween Costumes

Happy day 9 of 13 posts of Halloween! This post is a little different than my other posts, because I’m actually wearing this costume for longer than 10 minutes. I wore it last night for a little Halloween get together with some of my best friends and I’ll wear it today to a bar crawl in Baltimore. The top is actually a body suit from Forever 21 but I don’t have the legs to wear just that so I ordered the skirt from Amazon. And yes…THE BOOTS ARE BACK. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out this post. I’ve wanted to be Wonder Woman for Halloween for a few years now, and I thought now that I have these amazing boots, there’s no better time! (and no….I’m not actually wearing them to the bar crawl…I can barely walk in them).

Apple Orchard Outfit

Last weekend I went to an apple orchard with (who else but) Allison. She had this crazy idea that we should play housewives and bake all these apple pastry things after picking the apples ourselves. We drove 45 minutes to the wrong place but finally made it there. It was actually slim pickings (hahah) since the season is almost over but we got at least 20 apples. It was chilly but super sunny so this wrap/cape thing I wore was a good move. These kinds of shawls are really big at my work so I just bought this Burberry knock-off wrap from T.J. Maxx. I’ll probably wear this with a longer skirt and wear it to work one day, but with the scallop skirt, this is a great apple picking outfit…if you don’t care about reaching the really tall apples.

Day 7: 13 Days of Halloween Costumes

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for a week already. And yes, I am wearing shorts under the shirt in every one of these pictures. Today is day 7 of ’13 Posts of Halloween” and I want to give a personal shoutout to Autumn for taking these pictures for me yesterday right before we went to dinner. Life is really crazy right now trying to get these daily posts out and working full time and making time for friends. But thankfully this post involves the same outfit for all three costumes, just different accessories. See, I’m making it easy for y’all!

If I’m being completely honest, I could have made this entire ’13 Posts of Halloween’ series just Taylor Swift outfits if I wanted to. Unfortunately its a little too late in the game and I don’t have unlimited resources so we’ll stick with these 5. Happy day 6 of my costumes! Whether this is the first post you’re reading or you’ve followed along through these posts this entire time, I appreciate you. And if this isn’t the first blog post you’ve ever read of mine, you know I am 10000%, whole-heartedly obsessed with Taylor Swift. I have been since I was 14. Day 5: 13 Posts of Halloween Costumes

Happy day 5 of ’13 Posts of Halloween’! Today’s post I spent a lot of time on because its all make-up focused. Now I’ll be the first to admit I’m not really make-up savvy. I usually just take queues from what my friends are doing and I definitely don’t know what I’m doing half the time! So I’m really proud I was able to pull off these costumes! I decided to link the pictures I found on Pinterest that gave me inspiration because I want to give credit where credit is due. Day 4: 13 Days of Halloween Costumes

Oh no! I had to switch up the format of the introductory pictures. Hope that doesn’t phase you too much. Today is Day 4 of “13 Posts of Halloween” and honestly I’m pretty proud of these costumes. Memes and Vines are crucial to today’s social climate and I had to pay tribute in some way. I’m not including shopping links for this blog because most of what you need you can get from a craft store. My mindset with these costumes (especially when I showed my mom) is that you either get it or you don’t.

Halloween Striped Top

I interrupt your regularly scheduled programming of “13 Posts of Halloween” to bring you more pictures of me with some pumpKims (yes I am still using that pun). Fun fact: this shirt was an impulse buy 5 feet away from the checkout line in T.J. Maxx. But for $10, I just couldn’t pass it up. I went to the pumpkin patch 10 minutes from my house over the weekend with my childhood best friend, Kayla. She’s an amazing photographer so its no wonder these pictures turned out great, especially with my impulsive buy of a shirt.

Day 2 of my “13 Posts of Halloween”! I’m a little late to posting today, just because I have been hanging out with my best friend Kayla all day, but I still wanted to share these costumes. Today’s theme is Disney and all of these costumes are actually pretty easy to pull off even if you haven’t been to DisneyWorld in over 15 years (like myself). Hope you like them!
